I have for sale a faulty xbox 360 core with all leads.
Now the fault I have is the common no video fault I have sound coming through but no video.
I was quoted £35 to get it fixed and have been advised by most people that it needs soldering also recently it's been working on and off but I think it's stopped now.
I have also read around on the web that it can be fixed using a X-Clamp just like a RROd'ed xbox.
Has never been opened up and the seal is intact and does still have 1 year of RROD and E74.
Was previously sent off to microsoft due to RROD so has the new motherboard with the falcon chip.
It has a BENQ drive.
MFR Date: 2007-02-10
Open to offers.
I may be able to add a few games on top for trades.
Shipping/Payment:
Includes delivery.

"Was previously sent off to microsoft"

If it was you or someone you know who sent it off then why not just resend it and get it fixed for free and get a month of xbox live free as well?.

But i'm only covered for RROD and E74.

Do I need to register my xbox with Microsoft when first purchase it? or it can be sent to Microsoft stright away? because I havent registered it yet.

I'd send it back to microsoft, tell them that it has RROD but it is intermittent. Worked for me.

make youself get rrod. your going to need to change the motherboard because its the gpu so your better of trying to get it sent of to microsoft.

Mine just recently had this fault and Microsoft quoated me £74 to fix it. How comes yours only £34??
#10
request a repair, tell them you have a temperamental e74 error, and they should repair it for free

A friend of mine sent his modded console to microsoft (the drive was flashed). He received his 360 a week later, with no repair saying that the console had been modded (the seal was defect).

Anyway to the point Microsoft didn't charge him, they'll just send it back without repair, IF they don't repair it

Just tried on the website putting in fault as E74 but it took me to payment details with a total of £78.20
Not free for me.

Not too sure, its a launch date model 2005 so out of standard warrenty but was fixed from RROD a year ago, does that mean another 3 years?

nope, you'll only get 3 years from the date of mfr, you could try the route of SOGA, think we/you should start a misc thread, so we can stop spoiling this FS thread

Lol Good advice mate I think I might try it but I don't have it transferred to mine and no longer have contact from the person who gave it to me.
A local shop quoted me £35 to fix it not microsoft.
