FS/FT: Macbook 2.4GHz, 4GB RAM, 160GB Hard Drive -REDUCED! £630.00

My lovingly looked after Macbook 2.4Ghz, bought Sept '08 so still in warranty, had LCD replacement in April this year. RAM upgraded to 4GB in December '08. Still boxed with original disks too.

Still in almost perfect nick except the usual very small surface scratches on the glossy case and two marks on the keyboard rest (as pictured, which can be changed under warranty still)

I want to consider a good PC tower with a big monitor + cash or other gadgets, but will consider cash offers first.

Mac2Sell.net price my computer as £660 so want as close to that as possible, you will not be getting this for less than £600 anyway.

Let me know what you have, do not want Laptops or Netbooks either thanks!

Full specs:

13.3" Screen
2.4Ghz Core2Duo processor
2x2Gb DDR2 RAM = 4GB
160GB Hard drive
Dual Layer Superdrive
Bluetooth
Airport Wireless Enabled

Mac2Sell.net now price this as 640.

Cash offers still welcome.

How much were you wanting for that? i.e. what would you add to get my Macbook?

I want a ballpark figure of what you were asking for that tower, then I can judge some kind of figure myself.
#14
It cost me about 1000 last year

Edit: It was about 860 I think
#15
To be honest, I don't want to undervalue you as I know little about the PC side of things, however I know I'd be reluctant to pay more than about £300 for just a tower. And being fair, yours is not the best spec I've seen around here.
#16
how did u move the dock to the left?

Agreed, but it is a branded machine, and they go for more regularly, so feel free to tell me how much you want on top:thumbsup:

What dock?

EDIT: lol just realised what you meant. If you right click on the separator the you can play with the dock settings there.

I want somewhere in excess of 300, especially as I'd need monitor, KB+M etc......

EDIT: I would like to consider straight cash offers first though.

Ancillaries, peripherals, whatever lol.

A monitor is more important that KB+M to be honest. How much are you looking for the XPS?

not selling it but ive had it just over a year and i usually upgrade but would trade for a macbook as i miss mine
got a 24" monitor but not sure id wanna chuck that in as well tbh

Had an XPS 420 and it wasn't a bad machine at all, had a couple of rattles, I think that was just mine but great performance

I don't think I'd be able to straight trade just for a tower, defeats the object of even trading. It's gonna take enough to tear my Macbook from my hands as it is lol :p
#31
ive got a desktop id consider:
Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2.4Ghz per core
4GB Corsair Ram DDR2 (with heatsinks)
Hard drive could be arranged, just i have stuff on them, but could do it with a 320gb western digital
7900GT 256mb 16xPCI-X
CoolerMaster Case + Asaka Acoustic Padding + 2x Silent-X 120mm fans
460watt CoolerMaster PSU
16x DVD-RW (branded, but cant remember what brand)
Could probably included a wireless microsoft keyboard and a wired microsoft mouse if needed, but i know people prefer their own ones. Could include some logitech X530s as well. No monitor as i will be keeping that to plug in the macbook. Could possibly include a tv tuner in it if needed as well. Also could include a firewire card in it as well (it has one firewire onboard). Could also possible add a belkin ipod dock/usb hub

Would put a value on it of £550 with all the extras, or £500 without. (can discuss if you want only a few).

Cheers for the offer, but I can't afford to be adding a monitor, so you're a little out of my price range for the time being.

I want something in the region of 21" or more.

I'm sorry if I sound really uninterested to some of your offers, guys. However I do have depreciation to consider, you all know my Macbook will lose not much more than £100 over the next year or so whereas most of your towers will drop considerably more than that. Not to sound like an idiot, but in my eyes getting rid of my Mac for a PC is a drop in itself, hence why I want it all working when it arrives with Monitor etc.

A cash offer in total would be of more interest so I could buy brand new

i can appreciate that and i know you dont mean no harm (although a P4 dual core costing £860 to build last year was BS as mine didnt cost that last year to build)

If I was to trade with you I'd at least want a decent monitor siding it. I don't want to undervalue you as your system is obviously good, but as a die hard Apple fanboy I find it hard to value.

The only reason for me getting a PC is for gaming, that's it, so I want it ready to go as it enters my door.
