My girlfriends laptop which she no longer needs. It was purchased from Dell Outlet at the end of April, so still has most of the warranty left though I am unsure if this is transferable. It has had very little use and is near mint condition. The only damage I can see is a tiny area of paint which has rubbed off one of the corners of the lid (shown in last photo). The plastic casing at the end of the power cable has split due to being stood on and is now being held together with tape. This is cosmetic only damage and does not affect charging.

It is a great little machine and the graphics card is surprisingly capable for gaming.

I don't know mate: make an offer. As stated in the OP it really has had very little use so I would like to lose as little as possible on it. I have already knocked about £40 off the price paid, which was very reasonable to begin with and took weeks of F5ing Dell Outlet to get. Saying that I am keen to get it sold now as no longer needed.

EDIT: After doing some reading online looks like transfer of the remaining 7 months warranty will be possible and will only take about a day to process.

£250 delivered if you are sure the warranty can be transferred?

Edit: actually £270 as long as you are sure it all works ok?

The warranty is definately transferable. There is a form on the Dell website to transfer ownership of the computer. The computer works fine and has no problems at all.

£250 is way too low sorry. £270 is a bit more tempting but gonna hold out for more.

Thanks.

I will accept £280 then, but will post via 1st class recorded rather than Special Delivery?

advice...dont send via recorded, only covers you for £39...
might be an idea to consider a courier as would probably be cheaper then SD via RM.

I'm not sure actually. If you want I can find out. Sending via Specially Delivery fully insured will probably cost me about £30. Don't know if I can insure via 1st class but I will go have a look on the RM website see if I can find out. I would be cool with posting via DHL insured but that may take an extra day or two to arrive, or then again, maybe not with the postal strikes.

Wouldn't worry too much about 1st class recorded, I have posted hundreds of items via RM recorded delivery and not had a single lost / damaged item.

But it's up to you. I wont do Special delivery for £280 as I will end up with to much of a loss, but if you dont mind the possibility of an extra day or two wait, I will go the DHL fully insured route.

Cheers for the info on standard postage. Yeah RM SD isn't really feasable on heavy items.

Yeah netbooks are a lot lighter than an actual laptop though. Was basing my estimate on a games console I sold on Ebay recently which probabaly weighed about the same as the laptop. As for posting first I can understand and likely would ask the same in your position given the value of the item. I would preffer full payment up front though. We have the same amount of feedback on this site, I have been a member for longer but you have more posts than me. I have a lot more feedback on AVForums.com and Ebay (will PM you links).

Sending insured via a courier is no different to sending via RM SD. It will be insured in full nd will be trackable by you. Next day wont be guaranteed though and it may take an extra day to arrive but costs a 1/3rd of the price.

Yeah i wasn't sure whether the info about the netbook would be any help as they are loads lighter! No offence to you but am really nervous about not receiving it, im sure if it was the other way around you would be too. As we have similar feedback would you not go for the half now and half when it arrives? that way we have both placed trust??
