WRONG.
He bought it, he can sell it.
Sending via gift as you put it is just a method of delivery.

Thanks for quoting that. BUT the fatal flaw in the argument is that he is not selling and/or transferring an account.
The game may also not have been bought via steam.

Yeah thats for an account...not the games

Actually he is right in terms of the agreement between STEAM and purchaser. You cannot sell on a game purchased through STEAM.

I'm not saying the OP shouldn't do so btw (and I like his idea of gifting it for a return 'gift' :)), just that this is the agreement we all sign with STEAM when purchasing a game through them.

GL with the gifting Zeus. ;-)

Cheers Liddle. Like has been said i AM NOT selling or transferring my steam account. I am only GIFTING the Half-Life2 game in return for a gift via PayPal gift.

Don't worry about it mate. there are seemingly more and more people on here who will do everything they can to try and ruin the selling process for someone, including quoting T+Cs which are redundant under the circumstances.

Good luck with the sale mate. £4 is a good price regardless of the orange box deal as that will be over after the weekend

The thread will remain closed on 2 counts:

[*]If you're intending to make a gift, then there is no sale.
[*]If the game has already been bought via steam, then it won't be transferable via a sale in here.

A Steam gift purchase is a one-time transfer—after the recipient has activated and installed the game, it is a non-refundable game in his or her Steam games collection. Also note that you may only gift new purchases—you may not transfer games you already own. That’d be like wrapping up and presenting the toaster you’ve used every morning for the past year

Furthermore if this is the condition then:

May I Buy, Sell or Trade my extra copies?
No. This violates the Steam Subscriber Agreement and may result in having your Steam account permanently disabled.
