Ok,
Can't find any reviews for it ( maybe you can help? )
My sister is in need of a laptop and this might be a good deal :D

How you want to do this?
#4
Are you based in London at all? I ask only as it would be easier for me to pick up.

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

i duno if you want to but you can pay 180 via paypal gift n ill hold it if ur sister say no ill pay back the 180 via paypal gift and sell to someone else and if your sister says yes ill send it why u pay the other £55
banned#11
So if I paypal gift what I have you'll post it and then I send the rest?
#12
This is bargain and I'm pretty interested, just concerned about the no feedback etc.
banned#13
no if you pay what you have by paypal gift i will keep hold of the laptop for you and not sell it to anybody else then if your sister does want it the day you pay the rest i will send the laptop to you. If your sister says no she doesnt want it then i will give you back the £180 u payed already. is that clearer

i understand that i just havnt had anything to sell and the things for trade like games ertc doesnt interest me and everything else i either have or have got cheaper:) . hope that helps. everyone has to start somewhere right
#15
Oh no I just meant are there any other things that could help with confidence, ebay feedback or anything like that?
banned#16
dont have ebay i dont usally sell online bu ever since i been veiwing this site i see its all about deals and i dont feel right charging alot of money for something when i dont need it and i thought people would be intrested in the lappytop thats why its on here. no one makes money from it except the item you sell like ebay they have charges etc
#17
Not that I've ever dealt with a first timer, but generally speaking, I think they post first and payment comes on receipt. Would that be an option? I understand the reticence beforehand no worries;-)
banned#18
not really because this is the first time ive posted a sale on here and id be very wary because its a decent laptop jus to send out like that. that prob doesnt help but i dont know what else to say
#19
I actually do have the funds in my account, it's just is there any sort of arrangement you could come to? Maybe half payment and then the other half when it arrives, that kind of thing?
#20
good price for a 17"er,found australian review if it helps anyone

I'd be much happier with £120, I have good feedback on here and also on ebay. Exchange phones numbers and addresses as well if agreed, and phone to check etc. And the rest upon delivery.
banned#23
sorry but im not to keen on that amount i know you have good feedback as i have checked but someone still might turn with the right product. as you know this is my first time in selling on this site. if it was an item that wasnt as valuable i would have no problem but it is vaulable. hope you understand
banned#24
talked about it with my partner she thinks that £160 would be best for both of us. how does that sound any better?
#25
If I pay through purchase of goods rather than gift I believe it is safer, and you'd received the full amount, but are there any fees attached and would you possibly be interested in that?
banned#26
no thats why i put paypal gift because of the fees i think u were replyin when i was re puttin a post ....does 160 sound any better
#27
If the fees were £5 or so I'd be happy to just add that on top
banned#28
no there quite abit more then that. i dont know what to suggest i am willing to take it down to £160 u can have my address number and everything etc?

Sorry for being so difficult, just a big purchase as you can imagine. The fee is only 3.4% + 20p, so if I pay you £244 via goods purchase, minus the fees which is £8.50 leaving you with £235.50.
#30
Scrap that, if we could carry this on in the morning - unless you're not available. Would sometime in the morning or afternoon be convienient. Get some contact through the phone, exchange address and such and organise payment then? £160 sounds reasonable, if I feel comfortable then
banned#31
i know your willing to pay charges and i am greatful for that but as i explained earlier i dont believe in selling things on the net and people make money from it thats why i dont use ebay or use paypal as purchases pr services i use it for gift only your not being difficult but i stated in the thread in how quick i will post item plus how i want to recieve payment etc and i think its unfair on having to change it. im not being picky so please dont think i am im trying to save you money here cause people shouldnt charge someone money for buying something. im a firm believer in that and i have explained that when i said i didnt have an ebay account
#32
personally id say pay the fees, even if you split them, its not that much considering the cost of the item, then at least IF anything went wrong you could easily sort something out.
And get a home phone give them a call and ensure the area code matches the area of the address the OP gives you. Then come to a suitable price, then the second part when recieved and happy could be given by PP gift?

Selling an expensive item as your first item creates problems for you both, as seller is dubious of sending as 1st time, and buyer is dubious due to they could take the money and run. So for a few quid each to create that trust and a few minutes to check details and a quick phone call can ensure security and happiness of both parties.

Dont think of it as a company making money out of either of you...think of it as they are helping create that security between the two of you, they are providing a service, and thus like most services...they charge!
Also if the buyer is willing to pay for charges then let them, its their money not yours, your not losing anything.

Thank you awoodhall2003! But at this stage I think I'll probably have to pull out and wish the OP good luck with the sale, not out of malice or anything - just become slightly weary that's all, like awoodhall2003 said, it being a high value first item. £160 is still some money to lose.

i agree if i was you i would say PP non gift or no deal, as no protection otherwise. And no offence to seller but they have been scammers on here, like many forums, and a little security is worth every penny. Why are you paying for special delivery? Protection i would hope? Whether it be for it insured, so you know its been recieved, or whether it be for security of both parties...about 2.5-3% of the sale price in that security is nothing.

And of course the thing is scammers dont need to run anymore...just continue to sit at their PCs! lol!

well tbh on a laptop special delivery should be used anyways otherwise if it went missing or got damaged you would not be able to claim the full amount its worth.
Anyways good luck with sale, however i doubt you will get someone to part with such a large amount of cash especially over PP gift eithout any feedback, id be dubious if i was buying off tubby, even myself tbh, with that amount of money and them asking for PP gift only.

its just abit annoying really. i just dont know what garentee i will get by sending the laptop when only recieving £120
