Brand spanking new HTC Desire. Unwanted contract upgrade.
The box is sealed and so comes with all standard accessories you'd expect inluding 4GB MicroSD. It's presumably locked to Virgin Mobile (though you can unlock for less than £15 from http://www.htccode.com/ if it is).

If you want to know about this phone have a look here:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=642362

EDIT 1: Price reduced to £320.00
- MrBrightside1987

- MrBrightside1987
Shipping/Payment:
£7 Royal Mail Special Delivery.

Cash on collection from Blackburn too.
Location:
Blackburn

Nope, not until about 30 seconds ago!

Are there any issues unlocking it? I had a Tattoo on Orange which was a pain even with the code had to use a smartsim.

Shouldn't be any problem. I used a code on my T-Mobile HTC Hero and it worked perfectly.

Could offer £300 collected (assuming you are in Blackburn).

I can do it for £320? You can collect tomorrow [or any other] evening from Blackburn.
That's the lowest I'd want to go though.

I can pay half the unlocking cost (£7.50) for you.
Total would be 320 (phone )+7.50(unlocking )+7 (postage) so £334.50 delivered and unlocked. Let me know what you think.

I don't suppose there's any chance that you'd be interested in a Motorola Milesine + Cash for your HTC desire?

Seen a few go on the bay for under £300. Would offer £295 all in.

Too less for me, I know most of them go for a lot more than that. I can do £320 delivered.

They all go for over £300 on ebay. Looking at the completed listings, it's clear for anyone to see that the only ones that have gone for under have all been Buy It Now purchases from the same company, at suspiciously low prices. Something is clearly off there. Again, it's clear to see that these are all regularly going for over £300.

Cheers cookie, yeah, it's mostly the seller who's most likely running a scam (look here) - his Desires apparently have Windows Mobile 6.5 running on them.

I think it's safe to say my price is fair. The only reason I've not put it on eBay is the increasing number of fraudulent buyers that specifically target expensive items

Well I hardly find ebay item - 170484678250 suspicious and I can find many more examples from legit companies. However I do take your point that the majority do sell for over £300 on ebay. Most around £325. Only thing is that you have to pay the excessive ebay/paypal fees which brings the sellers money down well below the £300 mark.

Anyway the seller has stated he wont go lower than £320.

Good luck with the sale sir! :)

Funnily enough that's the guy I linked to in my previous post. A word of advice, PLEASE don't buy one off him, I'd put good money on him being a fraud - just have a look here and see for yourself

Agree totally. I'll wait and see the feedback to see if its legit first!
#26
have been tracking these myself on ebay as i have one to sell, have tracked about 10 of them and none go any lower than £310 to highest of £361. so i think £320 is a bargain for a phone which costs £400 in shops and mostly sold out everywhere!stick your ground and get what its worth!
#27
Final bump. Price updated to £320 delivered
If anyone is unsure about the unlocking, then I can get it done for you first and show you photos of it with my O2 sim inside before sending it off.

Would this work on tmobile?

It would need unlocking which is a straightforward process and costs a maximum of £15.
If you're unsure about getting it done yourself, then I can do it for you before sending (if you pay the unlocking cost of course).

are you sure? might be wrong but I thought virgin and tmobile used the same network?

You're right about them sharing networks, my mistake. I don't actually know if it will work though. Someone at Modaco has posted saying that their T-Mobile sim worked without problem in their Virgin-locked Desire.

I've posted in the big Desire thread so hopefully who's using their Desire can provide your answer.
