FOR SALE - Identiti Exorcist

Thought I'd try my luck again on here in case there are any bike enthusiasts on HDUK! I built this bike up a while ago but, due to other commitments, it has been sitting in my garage getting very little use. Hence I'm looking to sell it on to 'a good home' as I could do with the space (and the cash!).

Specs:

- Identiti Exorcist frame (black)
- Marzocchi All Mountain 3 forks (150mm travel)
- Wheels: Hope Pro2 hubs on Tioga DH rims
- SRAM X-9 rear mech and shifters
- Hayes HFX-MAG hydraulic disc brakes (F & R)
- FSA X-Drive Cromo chainset (Also have a brand new 24/7 chainring ready to fit)
- 24/7 Pro bar and stem

Due to the low usage it is in excellent condition and quite a few bits are brand new such as the X-9 gearset, tyres...

I was looking to get £800 for it, but I really need to clear some space in my garage ASAP so I'm now looking to get £650 for a quick sale. This is a bargain I think considering the bike's excellent condition - there was one on fleabay last week for £1000!

Also, I live in the Derby area.

I love bikes and I'd love this, but have a decent bike (not as good as this tho!) and no need for an upgrade. Good luck with the sale - it's a good price and would tempt me if I were a rich man

Cheers Liddle ol' me. I used to be a bit bike mad myself, but I've just not got the time to go out these days! :-D What do you ride by the way?

Hopefully someone will snap this up pretty soon, if not I might give some bike forums a try.

Oh mine is only a humble Trek Hybrid, but I am very pleased with it and it ha served me well this last year or so. My main purpose is to cycle to and from uni every day, so it fits the purpose perfectly.

Yes, I would think you have a much better chance on bike forums. Only enthusiasts would be willing to fork out this kind of price for imo.

I've always had a soft spot for Treks - my first bike was an old 820! :)

KHS make some very nice frames so I don't blame you for sticking with it!

I love bikes. Have an old Appollo from about 5yrs ago. Was young an couldnt wait six months till xmas, so i paid half and so did my parents, that was whem we had more money and they were together.

Needs new tyres, a pair of matching pedals (cover over core cracked, found a spare, so put the core that fitted my crankset into the cheapo plastic pedal) could also do with a new seat and some new blocks (brakes asjusted so tight so i can brake there is not much play on the levers) I have a cheap bmx at dads :(

Woods here, and heathland in the next town from home, and nature reserves and countryside further out at dads.

I would save money now and put it towards a bike from both my parents, christmas and bday combined, but i am allready thinking about saving for a car, so may just ask for money. Since my dad had to retire (disability worsened) and my parents split up, money is tight, and i will have problems with insurance and the cost of a car, so buying an expensive bike this year when i will be 16 at the start of next would not be a great idea i dont think, even though i dont plan on even getting a scooter next year now, and dad says i could just fix mine up anyway, but its five years old, and has been used alot at both my old house and my new houses since my parents split up.

Hopefully a mate will get a new bike to replace his diamondback which he claims has a buckled wheel which he cant be bothered to get fixed, lucky rich boy ...I could get that repaired at halfords for a tenner and wait an buy new tyres for that instead of mine, and new disc pads if needed... Hopefully he will upgarde his soon and i will make use of his even if it costs me up to £30 to buy.

Lovely bike, wish i had the money, and well off parents, would mean i could buy a bike jointly with them and still have help towards the cost of a car :(

Cheers Matt. That's the beauty of bikes though - you can always upgrade bits and bobs slowly as you can afford them, and in no time you'll end up with a nice bike. That's what I did when I was your age.

I built this bike up gradually too, whilst I was still at Uni - I couldn't afford to blow a grand in one foul swoop so instead I did it gradually over a 6 month period!

So how do you propose i start? Do i buy a frame and some bits and keep riding my bike until it is done next year or so? Maybe if i just save some money each month.

Wouldn't it be better to sell on a bike enthusiasts forum, you'd get more interest.

I'm sure you're right, but I thought I'd give it a little while on here 1st before I try my luck elsewhere. To be honest I don't know of many good bike forums - anyone got any recommendations?
