FS: iPhone 3g. Officially unlocked by o2. Boxed with accs. £250.00

For sale is my black iPhone 3g. It has recently been officially unlocked by o2 after I was referred to the o2 website to request unlocking.

I'm due for an upgrade in December so this will be surplus to requirement. Was initially considering waiting until I had my new phone (Still undecided as to what im going to get), but feel I can cope with using a "normal" phone for a couple of weeks.

Its been well looked after but does have the odd mark on the back which I have tried to document in the photos. It is under warranty until June 10 2010, which I believe can be viewed here https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do?newid=y

Phone comes boxed, with the usb cable, wall adapter, sime removal tool. Headphones are not included. I will also include a silicone case.

Looking for £250 delivered.
Will be sent by Royal Mail next day, special delivery, which is included in the asking price.

I will accept bt, pp gift (or normal payment as long as buyer covers the fees), or cash on collection. I'm located close to Bradford.

All details will be given prior to any payments being sent.
Shipping/Payment:
RMSD included in asking. Cost of postage will be deducted if someone was to collect.

Very interested but back looks in bad condition buddy..

Hmm would you post first as you only have 5 feedback?

Also is the dust around the edge permanently there?

Will take it for £210 if you post first! :-)
#3
would you post before payment?
#4
didnt you post the other day about this as ive seen these pics before
#5
Was £200 before? Also how much collected?
#6
It was £200 plus delivery at cost before it was expired 8 days ago, but it wasn't unlocked at that point and I didn't realise it still had so much warranty.

And I wouldn't post before payment. I've sent some high value items out recently before payment and haven't had any issue whatsoever.

The back only looks like that due to the flash. I can assure you, in natural light, it doesn't look half as bad but I didn't want to deceive anybody.

The dust is only there because of the silicone case.
Collected would be £250 minus the price of RMSD, which I guess would be around the £7 mark.

Got the same dodgy feeling that i've seen that bottom picture aswell....

If you read my responses to the previous comments or checked my previous thread, you wouldn't have such a 'dodgy feeling'. Please refrain from posting in my topic unless you are genuinely interested. Thanks.

He did, has been a week since it was expired.

Just advise anyone.. Been a guy doing the rounds on various forums scamming with iPhones. Not saying this is him, just a reminder to all, make sure you get all the relevant contact details and verify them.

This fella has 5 feedback, so unlikely to be him.. But just always be warey.

EDIT for others about price: £250 odd is about right for an unlocked 3G on here, £230 if he wants a quick sale.

It being unlocked, automatically increases its value as a larger target audience (So to speak), is attainable. After having checked Ebay prices and local markets, I decided it would be foolish to let it go for such a knockdown price considering im not desperate for the cash, and i've seen 2g's go for a similar price.

Location will be inboxed.

Would you be willing to send first to a member with high feedback? May be interested in making an offer if so.
#13
Much appreciated that you will post first to me. :-D

However the marks on the back seem to be a little offputting..

Would you be able to answer a few questions for me about the phone..

What is battery life like compared to brand new?
Any problems with how the phone works, touch screen, etc..?
Scratches on the screen?

Thanks mate..

I should be able to make an offer if you can answer these questions ;-)

Due to this feedback comment, 'Monitor was sent as described and agreed but buyer just wanted to cause grief about whole transaction, very disappointing. Unfriendly and not a pleasant person.', I would not be willing to send to you on a payment upon receipt basis. However, I would be willing to post first to someone with such impeccable feedback as '399out'.

Battery lasts for a day with moderate call/text/wifi use. However it all depends on how you use the phone. I have had it last a day and a half with 20% remaining on my return home.

Its in 100% working order. I've never experienced any hardware malfunction.

There are no visible scratches on the screen. It has been well looked after. Never been kept in a shared trouser pocket. Only reason I can give for the light marks on the back, is that lint/pocket dirt has creeped in behind the silcone case.

Perhaps you should check that guys feedback. Having messed about me (Had to get admins involved), 2 other buyers and then a 3rd with a Acer Revo :). My positive feedback speaks for itself tbh.

But it's entirely upto you who you sell to.

GL with your sale.

So why doesn't he/she (?) have any negatives?

If that is the case, I apologise. And would consider sending to you first, if you were still interested, on a receipt before payment basis. Obviously as long as the offer was right.

The battery life sounds similar to this 2G iphone i had..

Hmm if i listened to the ipod for about an hour a day, would it run out before the end of the day?
Would you accept £225 inc SD because of the marks on the back and used battery?

Sorry for all the questions buddy, thanks for the patience! :-D

Im sure it would be fine, although I have never used the ipod side of the device as I have a classic. A little low i'm afraid mate. Obviously, being a used phone, the battery will have undergone some usage, but as you can see from the remaining warranty, the phone is not very old, so hasn't been "hammered".

Heres a picture to validate the warranty

Fair point mate..

Hmm i could always ring Apple to see if they could replace the battery by claiming it's faulty?:whistling:

How about £235 then mate?
However i don't get paid until Thursday so i wouldn't be able to pay before then...

You could mate, but I wouldn't condone that sort of activity :p

How about £230 for the phone, plus the cost of the rmsd, which I believe will be around £7.

And Thursday wouldn't be a problem. I could send on Wednesday, you receive Thursday and pay immediately after after inspecting etc. Would prefer a bt on this as well mate. Would hate to think I had that amount of "digital money" in my pp account.

399out
Just imagine i never mentioned it :whistling:

I would be happy to do that then buddy..

So in total say £237.50?

Bank transfer is totally fine aswell mate..
It would be paid for on Thurs/Fri (work sometimes decides to pay the day after)

So would it be an issue to send it this Thursday mate? So that you can gurantee same day payment? I'm away in France (The Alps), with work from the Friday (Boarding ferry mid to late afternoon) and getting back home on the following Tuesday/Wednesday and would hate for there to be any issue and me not be able to contact you or check the payment etc.

399out

You could still post on Wednesday mate and i will hopefully pay on Thursday. However There was a problem with the pay last month, so it should hopefully be back to normal this month..

However i can guarantee if there are any problems that i can pay as soon as you return.

We can exchange phone numbers, email, address, etc..

All the necessary details you/I may need.

After saying that all.. It is likely i will be able to pay on Thursday but i can not guarantee!

I would just hate for there to be any issue with the payment whilst I am away mate. I'm sure there won't be, so i'm going to accept the deal at £230 plus cost price of RMSD which will be indicated by a copy of the receipt, payable upon receipt of the phone. If you can message me all relavent details mate, that would be great. I will do the same :).

Tracking number and total amount payable will be provided as soon as the phone is sent.
