FS Modded PS2 (Slight fault) £60.00

Hi I listed this a few weeks ago and got a bit of interest but no full leads. If anyone is interested I am selling a modded PS2 with 2 x original Dual Shock controllers, scart/converter lead, 4 x Buzz controllers, 1 x original 8mb memory card. It also comes with SSX game and Bob the Builder for the PS1, I will also include other bits n pieces which I can advise of via PM. I have no idea what modchip is inside, all I know is it plays 'back up' discs the same way as original discs, just put them in and it starts. Also, its not a slimline model.

The slight fault is the cd drive has an interim defect where it will not always read the disc, however I find a clean of the disc and a quick power off solves this. I have been told this is a straightforward problem to resolve, however, having recently got a Xbox 360 my focus and attention is not on getting this looked at.

I am looking for between £50 and £60 and would prefer for the lot to be sold as a whole and not seperately

If you have any questions, drop me a line

Many thanks

* I do have photos, however I seem to be having trouble uploading, can someone please advise how to do this.
I will send via parcel force 48 unless otherwise instructed, which for a 500 gram package is £14.99 and the buyer is protected upto £150 for any damage, loss, etc and the delivery is guaranteed within 2 days from receipt of funds. I am not liable or responsible for any damage caused during posting, buyers must liaise with Royal Mail for any redress.

I would prefer cheque as payment

Hi Jeimuzu_uk, I am unsure as to the modchip, I will try and find out, however I would not hold my breath to be perfectly honest - all I know is it plays 'back up' discs.
With regards to the Model number I will find out later this morning and post. I do have loads of pictures which may be more useful, however I do not know how to put up.

Jeimuzu_uk, I have tried to find out what chip is inside and I really cannot find anything to give a name, if something does ring a memory, i will post. The model number is: SCPH-30003 R

I hope this helps

Would you take £55 including postage?
Is it a 'fat' or slimline PS2?

I'd also be interested depending on what kind of modchip is installed. Do the names Magic, Messiah, Matrix, Matrix Infinity, DMS or Ghost ring a bell?
More important than the actual name of the chip though is the features it offers - does it 'direct boot' games? i.e. do you just put any disk in, PS1, PS2 or movie, original or backup and it plays them with no problem? Or do you have to change modes somehow, like by pressing a button on the controller or PS2 itself?
Also, is it DVD region free?
reddragon, sadly I have no idea about the modchip, all I know is you put in any disc and it plays with no fuss or change of mode. With regards to the DVD, i have only ever played region 2 dvd's on it and they work fine, I cannot comment on anything else. Finally, its not a slimline system, it is as you say a 'fat' one.

I hope this helps

Jenn, I am unable to accept your offer, but thanks anyway
