Hi everyone, I've been trying to sell my car on fleabay for a couple of weeks now and getting nowhere, even though there were lots of people watching, So thought i would see if there is any interest here!! PLEASE CAN I STRESS THAT THE CAR IS NO LONGER LISTED ON EBAY SO I AM NOT BREAKING ANY RULES BY LISTING ON HERE sorry had to make that clear lol.

I would like to add the ebay url so you can see the details of the car, you will see that the item has ended so is not still for sale there! From this you will also be able to see my feedback (clarelouise25)

I need a fairly quick sale if possible and i am willing to accept any sensible offers.

The Car is located in Southend On Sea but could possible meet anywhere in the SE if needed, please just ask.

I will post the pictures here too . Thanks

EDIT:: I take the comment back about meeting. Car to be collected from Southend. Thanks. Cant seem to change the op though.

**FOR SALE 1997 FORD FIESTA SI**

Welcome to my sale, I am selling my car as i simply have no need for it anymore due to a change in circumstances. I bought this car in December of last year (07) It has an MOT valid until November 2008 but unfortunately it has no tax, so if you would like to drive the car away you will need to contact me prior to collection, so we can arrange to tax and insure the car in your name to make sure everything is legal and above board!

The car had new brake pads installed not long ago, thanks to the owner before me, it also has 4 new tyres and some lovely new hubcaps. The car runs like a dream and starts first time, no leaks or problems.

As the car is quite old it does have the usual few scratches, nothing too major though there are a couple of scrapes on the bumpers (not by me may i add!)Unfortunately there are also a couple of tiny chips in the windscreen which are easily repaired and it doesnt cost a penny or affect any no claims bonus you may have!

hahahaha - I just deleted the same comment from my post above so as not to thread spoil :-D
Clairelouise25 - I think you should consider letting it go for a bit less.

well i just sold mine, it had 101000 miles, a couple of months tax and a couple of months test. when i bought it (a year ago) it didnt cost me half of what the op is asking

EDIT the body work on the car does look good for the year
#11
Yes guys i did say about accepting offers, i paid £1050 for this just 6 months ago, thats why i would like to get some of that back!! I cant park the car on a road etc as it has no tax, it cant move from the driveway unfortunately.
#12
do you have the adtrader down there (honest question), i'd advise you to put it in there its free and it would be where i would look for a sub-£1000 car. you will probably get a lot more coverage than on this site. also have you tried the autotrader i know its a little bit expensive but almost everone i know who was looking to buy a second hand car would get the autotrader. you might get a better price than advertising it on a specialist deal website

lol, for once it's not a bartering technique, just plain simple advice :-D

Bartering technique ?
#14
bod emrys
Yes, you know, the standard practice on this site of 'it's never worth that much........ but I'll take it off your hands for £xx'

Aah, not a slur on my good character then :whistling:

but in the op

Just curious - can you travel to meet or not?

Well i reallyreally doubt that every person who may be interested in the car has access to a tow truck or someone to tow it for them, so they would probably drive it back to wherever they came from anyway
#16
thanks for all the advice guys will check out how much the autotrader would be

Waiting for an answer to post #17...

I think post 23 is meant to be some sort of answer - a thinly veiled 'don't worry about the tax' ;-)

I missed that as it was a double post and I hit go to last post:roll:

Ok I start the bidding at £100:whistling:

ok im getting beaten down on this one, for everyones benefit i will edit the op, no meeting. Thanks for the little bit of genuine interest
#20
Have you got any more pictures? Preferably some that show the whole car, arches, engine etc?
#21
Although tax and insurance should be sorted out by the buyer prior to them driving it at all! So its up to whoever buys it i guess!

I can take some more, but it doesnt seem as though anyone is really interested, would it be worth it?

Well you won't sell it with the pics you've got;-)

By the way, on ebay you should have advertised it as BIN with Best Offer. Would have got more interest and a better idea on the price people were willing to pay
#24
It was BIN with best offer, it had 6 watchers too. I'll take some more pictures later today then hopefully ill have them on for tomorrow.
