I would be interested in this....

DVD/CD re-writer/reader - NEC ND-2500A - internal drive, IDE connection. Not used in a while has been kept as a spare.

when was it last tested as good & has it been stored in a dust free place?

Would you do it for £7 PPG including 2nd class postage?

Many thanks,

£8 delivered and you have deal...

I'd rather stick to my £7 offer if thats ok.
Also, can you respond about the condition & dust etc.
Finally, how old is it (Is there a date on the label)?
Thanks,

Hi there

Manufacture date is Jan 2004, but it has been unused for the 2 - 3 years I would say - been sat in my parts drawer in bubble wrap. No evidence of any dust, pins/connectors all clear and in good condition, front of unit blemish free.

Looking to sell, so can we meet in the middle at £7.50 delivered?

Im interested, I only want it if its fully working.
Would offer £7.50 if its fully working order.

Hi mate,

It was in full working order when I replaced the old unit this was in, and not used since...

Give me 10 mins and I will pop it in PC and fire her up!

Connected immediately, Vista found and installed the drivers, and Nero Info Tool was able to run the tests to give the outcome that is in the snip above - see it refers to the NEC ND2500A.

So, yes it is working....

Happy to accept Hamm's offer of £7.50 if he's now satisfied that it's in working condition.

Cheers
James

Deal done - youve got a PM!
I'll meet your £7.50 asking price
(sorry HAMM)

I'm keen not to get into trouble with the Mods again today, so in truth I think I have to give first refusal to Hamm as he was the first to accept at the revised asking - but asked for clarification on working order...

Sorry fredsmithers, but I think those are the rules - if you think I am wrong, please let me know?

Apologies, just want to make sure it's done fairly.

Cheers
James

Hi there,
I was waiting for your reply on the condition before Hamm nipped in, so I think I should get first refusal.
(Also I "created" the reduced price, so would expect first refusal)
I accepted the asking as we met in the middle, but you had not answered the dust and age question.
You have a PM waiting.
thanks,

Ps - MODS - whats your opinion please?
#12
I have reported the thread to the Mods to get an opinion, let's get a formal judgement...

Sorry both...

As seller it is down to you which offer you accept. Both are offering at your revised price so i would say you choose who to sell to.

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/13761/updated-for-sale-forum-rules-and-gu - According to that link, the best rule i can see that relates to this issue is:

(12) Once an offer has been made and accepted the trade should be considered final. Sellers who accept an offer and subsequently accept a higher offer from another member, may be suspended from trading. On the flip side, members who submit or accept an offer and subsequently pull out for any reason, will be suspended from trading for at LEAST one day.

So as offer was not accepted by seller, no rules are broken.

But thats just my opinion. I was also interested in the writer by the way so i think i'll stay away for now.

I have 5 posts of interest on this thread vs. Hamms single post.
Had my posts all been answered in turn I would have paid already....

I agree Fred, and I am sorry to mess you around - I have reported the thread, so hopefully we can get a difinitive decision - but agree your interest throughout is an important part of this...

Thanks for your comments, I guess the issue is that I did accept Hamms offer - albeit because I thought it was the correct process...

Thanks,
I'm glad you see my point of view here.
Now, if the mods agree, please conclude the sale

You and Fred both want the DVD I've confirmed it's working. Fred makes a compelling case about his interest, but you were the first to actually offer the price - subject to confirmation of it working. I don't want to get into more trouble with the Mods, so I have reported it so they can give an opinion.

Do you have a view?

what version is the router ?

I think it's version 1 as it doesn't have a version number on it!

Hi,

Davidn84 is correct, you may decide on who is your preferred buyer. Hamm was 1st to meet your revised asking price, but there may be other factors to help you decide, such as feedback ratings.

However you've already accepted Hamms offer, therefore I would proceed with that option unless you want to run the risk of falling foul of the fs/ft rules i.e. reneging upon a deal.

** Update. This thread is solely for the purpose of the OP's sale, no offers of similar items should be made from other members or it will be deemed thread jacking.

I only listed my item incase the version that OP was selling was not the one that buyer wanted. I will happily remove link now if you want.

This was an impulse buy, because fred really wants this, Ill pass this to him.

I was first to offer yes.. however in my opinion I feel fred didnt get the chance to act on theyeos re offer, thus me jumping in.
So fred ill let you have it mate.

the only "tactic" was the message getting deleted !
please re-instate it where it was removed from, for clarity.

Also, may I ask why it was necessary to "clean it up" ?

Review the thread please - I mentioned offers from other members i.e. thread jacking. You know the tactic I'm on about - poor show. No further discussion unless via PM otherwise this thread continues to get bumped.
