New Seagate 160GB IDE 5400rpm 2.5" Laptop Hard drive. I have opened the static package hence the price. Comes with a 5 year manufacturer warranty which I have not registered. Reason for sale: Unfortunately my laptop doesn't recognize more than 120GB :(

Model: Seagate Momentus ST9160821A
Manufactured Date (on the drive): 08503
Price (£): 40 delivered.
Shipping/Payment:
In the order of preference: Cash on collection or BT or Paypal + fees

Price (£): 40 delivered

Considering this is a new one and that I should to beat ebuyer price I will take the price down to £37 delivered.

You may be able to increase this 120Gb on your laptop depending on how old it is and what version of Windows you are running.

What laptop is it ?

and what version of Windows (and service pack) are you on?

Windows XP before service pack 1 came out did have an upper limit on hard drive size, and if your laptop is old you may be able to update the BIOS to support drives larger than 120Gb.

Let us know the details and we will se ewhat we can do.

yes, i did check all options before i put the advert. I am running XP SP2 and Gateway haven't (and not intending to) released any bios updates (addressing 48lba) when I checked on their live support chat! gutted. so i will have to let this go.

From Ebuyer it would be £40.37 delivered (using Supersaver delivery) and the buyer would have full consumer protection from the company cinluding being able to return it if they decided they didn't want it.

To the potential buyers it doesn't really matter what you paid for it, it's what they will save buying it from you as opposed to buying it brand new from a recognised seller, nothing personal mate.

Bit hasty, no? You only listed it this morning! Perhaps give it a full day at least. Some people don't come on until after work..
