FS: Nexus 4 16gb (White) - Unlocked & in great condition £90.00

For sale is a Nexus 4 in excellent condition. Several months ago the back smashed so I decided to replace the back with a white one bought on eBay, this one advertised that NFC and other stuff dependent on the back cover should still function. At a later date (Couple of months ago) I replaced the battery with a fresh one.

I purchased it new from the Play Store in January, included in the box is the delivery note for proof of purchase purposes.

The screen is in excellent condition as it's spent 90% of it's life behind a screen protector. The back glass is in very good condition as it's relatively new, but there are some surface scratches from the case. Still looks awesome though.

Cases included are an Ringke Fusion (Cost £10), a generic black rubber case and an arm strap. Charger and cable will be included within the box, along with 2 of the pin things to remove the Sim card tray.

Any questions, please ask!

Guys this isn't an auction site and you can't bid more than the seller has offered it for (in this case £86).

OT but Mineores, do you have a link for the back cover you bought as the white looks great and I have a Nexus 4 with a smashed back. Thanks.

Well I've heard no response from aramaj, not sure whether he was being serious, so I'll sell to AE753x, if that doesn't work out then Enigma can have it, 2nd dibs.

Thanks

Unfortunately due to the length of time lapsed between me purchasing the cover and this sale, I cannot find out the exact seller, but an eBay search has come up with several different back covers prices varying from £6-£20. You should find one with NFC included in the cover, good luck, it's a complete pain taking the back off the nexus.

Thanks, I'll take a proper look on eBay later on then. Plus also try to find some good guides on how to do it!

I said that I'd sell it for £86 to the 1st buyer, so I think I'll just do it for that, don't wish to annoy the mods as I believe it's against the rules. You have 2nd dibs Enigma, I'm not sure how long you can give potential buyers before offering it to the next buyer.

It took me forever to remove the cover without putting to much force into it, also when you put the new cover on it is impossible to get all the clips in, there's one clip on this handset which isn't in fully, but it's still secured down fine. To remove the originally cover you need a strong, small flathead screwdriver, I ruined one screwdriver doing this lol

So do I not just get to buy it for £90 seeing as I was the first to offer asking price? Regards

although i will gain if the first seller dont turn up but i'd say its only fair if 24hrs are given for people to respond to posts, especially day time as people are working etc.

I don't see how it makes sense to force the seller to sell it for a lower price. Especially when the asking price is £90 which I'm willing to pay instantly.. :)

The seller sets the price .. in this case they revised it down to £86 (see post #3), no-one is forcing them to sell it at the lower price - this is what they chose to revise it to.

Who can pay/when/how is irrelevant.

Have swapped contact info with seller. Payment will be made as soon as I have access to a desktop in 30 minutes!

Hello,

I Paypal'd you £93.40 so that you receive £90 after fee's. Figured the extra £3 is worth it just in case something does go wrong. Hope thats okay with you, kind regards!

Can i just ask does paypal cover you incase something goes wrong ,i thought it was only on ebay where one is covered
#24
Yes, mind you ive never needed it, I'm sure it'll be all fine with the OP's rep but £3 extra doesnt hurt.
#25
Yes of course it should be fine ,i just wanted to ask about the paypal thing as you may have had experience of being covered and would be useful knowledge
#26
Sent special delivery so it should be with you tomorrow, not sure whether the post had been picked up for the day when I got there

cheers

Phone arrived, great condition as a whole but the back camera does not work properly as the lens (or back cover) appears to be very clouded.

Oh? That's very strange? I never noticed that at all, not sure why that would happen. Perhaps the back lens could be cleaned with a cloth? Sorry about this

I did try but it is definitely inside either the cover or on the actual lense. Also, the battery seems to hold no life at all? It goes from 10% to flat in about 3 minutes. Ill give it a full charge tonight and see if it solves anything!

Okay, let me know. Unfortunately I didn't have the time to charge the nexus before sending it out, hence why it had no charge when you got it. Last time I properly used it the battery life seemed decent

After testing it for a while, Although the phone itself is in great condition, the back camera is not usable due to the scratches over the lens (I think external on case) and the battery itself lasts around a 3 hours use from full charge. In the current condition due its not very usable in all honesty but looking it up online I could probably buy spare battery and back cover and replace it myself as both go for £15 on eBay. If you are willing to pay half of that I will gladly keep the phone and repair it myself if not i'll probably deliver it back seeing as youre very far from me and the phone isnt very usable presently. Hope you understand. Kind regards! :)

Wow, firstly, I am massively sorry about all these issues, I'm not sure what happened to the battery, but when I was last using it normally in September time, I always managed to get a full day out of it and it was fine - perhaps something to do with the lollipop update? I will be happy to pay you half for the fix. I hope you do understand that I wasn't trying to rip you off here, as I've got all positive feedback, and it's been worrying me all day wondering what could have gone wrong with the Nexus.

Thanks for getting back to me, message me how you'd like the partial refund to be paid.
#33
No exactly, ofcourse I do understand that. Thats why I think its fair if we split it, Im not sure either if its a Lollipop Issue or not. Again, please accept my apologies for this extra hassle aswell. Just PPG it to the email I paid you on and its fine. Its not a problem honestly, this sort of stuff happens every now and again, kind regards! :)

No problem, have sent you over the money, apologies for the delay and I hope you get it working as well as it should be.

Thanks
