Hello, Unfortuntely I am reluctant to have the item collected in person, I would prefer to send it as I will send it Special Delivery for my protection and my buyers protection. I appreciate that I do not have any feedback, but I will not risk sending such a high value without payment first. As I am not working I really can not afford to take the risk. I hope you can understand :)

No problem, but if you won't allow people to collect it either, this will put most people off.

Anyway, to quote any of the Dragon's "I'm out"

I dont think you will find many people willing to part with £300 with absolutely no feedback and not allowing collection!
#8
Does this come with a receipt for warranty?

I do see where your coming, from but as a female I am abit scared to meet someone I do not know with high value goods, i'm just a little weary !

Sorry I do not have a receipt for the item as it was given to me as a gift!

Ok guys... can somebody please help me.... I am not trying to be difficult, I have a handset I want to sell, I have no feedback and I am reluctant to send a high value item without payment. I am also concerned about agreeing to collection as a female with high value goods.... can anyone tell me how else can I prove that I just want a genuine transaction with no bother or hassle to anyone!

All advice welcome!
#13
Personally I am out, but the only way I think you could please people is by allowing collection from a trusted (male) friend or sending this to someone on this site who has high feedback (a third party).

I would also take another picture of the phone with your username next to it (to prove you have it and it is not a photo you have aquired)

I'll give it a miss as £300 with no warranty is a little risky.

Just noticed this too "Please note that this is not the UK version, this phone is manufactured using genuine Nokia parts from Finland." What does this mean? Is it an EU or US or Far East or is it not made by Nokia?

Ps why are you listing an ebay photo?

Buyers would feel the same way and wouldn't risk paying front. It is worth agreeing for collection when you are accompanied by someone

Ebay feedback?

TBH, collection is the best bet for high valued items, done a few myself with no problems at all, as long as the fs/ft advice is adhered to. Aaaand as it happens i'm looking for a new handset and the arte was on my thread list of wants . . . :whistling:

To answer the above... The phone is made in Finland and is genuine! I am not using Ebay Picture... THIS IS MY PICTURE that someone took off me when I had the phone listed on Ebay...however it did not hit my reserve price so I have put it on here. I can put a picture with my name on later this evening.

Well I may look into collection in person if I can get a friend to come with me. Payment would have to be made first though. I'm based in Hertfordshire btw :)

Hello Manoj,

Well if anyone is willing to travel to Hertfordshire for collection then I may be able to arrange for somebody to acompany me! I do appreciate from a buyers perspective how it is not easy to trust anyone but quite frankly I love HUKD's far too much to risk being banned or suspended :p

This rather defeats the object of collection in person - where someone wants to see the goods and make sure all is genuine before parting with cash.....

This is a chinese fake. "Parts from Finland Assembled in China" is used on every fake 8800 ebay ad and all the direct from china websites. I don't think you should tell people its genuine as this makes them think they are buying a Nokia 8800 Arte Sapphire when they are clearly not.

The current FAKES have the tap & turn features.

This is what I was thinking as thats all you tend to see being sold on ebay. I think the official parts from nokia are the screen and the case.

Just the LCD from what I have heard, everything else is copied.

The fakes usually have a 2MP camera and a memory card slot. From what I have been told some of the fakes are good quality, but its very hit and miss which type you end up with. The best quality ones are about £180-£200 with the cheaper ones anything from £120 upwards.

Excuse me the handset is not Fake! Please do not thread spoil. You can not make an accusation on an item you do not have infront of you!:x

I think the better ones use a nokia case too as the copies give it away. But I dont know for sure.

Can you provide anything to prove it's genuine? As from what we know so far it's not a genuine Nokia.

 How can you say that about an item you have not got in front of you?

Well what do you want as proof? :viking:
#30
Actually Im really annoyed at false accusations.... I going to remove the sale. I've got better things to do then argue with thread spoliers on here!
#31
Does it have a memory card & slot for one? What megapixel camera has it got?
#32
you could always post 1st to either a long standing menmber with feedback or a mod who will hold untill payment is recieved

Well as you dont have a receipt. Could you take a pic of the ID sticker, but remember to block out some of the IMEI number.

The problem is you have made a statement in your advert that suggests that it's not a genuine Nokia and the genuine ones hardly ever come up for sale.
#34
too cheap to be real and to expensive for a hooky one lol
#35
As a bit of advise Miss Money Penny:

Take the phone to your local Nokia Care Point, they will take your IMEI and give you a free printout. This printout confirms it is genuine, tells you exactly how much warranty is left (these units ship with 24 months warranty as standard) and tell you about it's history. Then scan that, blank out the IMEI and post it on here.

Secondly, accept collections but make sure you are not alone and meet the buyer in a bank. That way as soon as they hand over cash you can deposit it so there is no point in them attacking you for the money. (Not that I think anyone on here would do such a thing but you are a cautious person).

These are sexy phones, I paid £250 second hand for my 8800 Arte and I love it!

Thank you for your advice... I just actually wanted a quick sale as I need the money, hence I'm selling it cheaper than most people, However I'm quite fed up with negativity on here, :x so I will find another way of selling the handset to someone who will appreciate a genuine sale. Thank you :)
