Hi All,

I have an OEM version of Nvidia Geforce GTX 285 with Scythe Setsugen Cooler for sale. I am selling it because the Scythe Setsugen Cooler suits any normal PC case but it is sticking out of my Dell XPS 8000 case by less than 1/3 inch !!

The story: I have purchased this Graphics Card from China before the new year, and the original fan is very loud. I have then bought this Scythe Setsugen Cooler for £35 and it is now speed-adjustable, whisper quiet. The Graphics Card itself has been used for no more than a week so consider this as an excellent opportunity to purchase an as new, super quiet and very powerful Graphics Card!

Ran Resident evil 5 bench mark with 8x Anti-Aliasing - got 90 fps on average.
Also ran Need for speed Shift - all special effects on with no lose of frame whatsoever.

This card is based on the latest 55nm fabrication process and also 3D Vision Ready! Please bear in mind that this Graphics card would require a 500W + Power Supply, a PCI x 16 slot and TWO 6-Pin power connectors.

The card is sold in as new Fully working condition.

Below is some rough guide for performance:

HD5870 >GTX295 >HD4870X2 > G T X 2 8 5 >
HD4850X2>GTX280 > 9800GX2 > GTX260+ >
HD4870 > HD3870X2 >GTX260 > HD4850
Shipping/Payment:
The price includes Special Delivery.

Hi there would you consider taking a bfg gtx 280 oc and some cash?
#7
Hi,

Just to remind you that my card's factory setting is only 600Mhz/ 1350Mhz - so there won't be too much improvement to your card - Just that is much quieter and produces less heat...

How long has it been used for and how is the noise level? Can you post a front picture?

Cheers!
#8
To be honest its still in the post lol but when I recieve it I'll let you know what the noise level is like and as far as I know it has been used for just over a year but the card is covered under bfg's lifetime warranty I have a gigabyte 4870 1gb here boxed if that interests you.

Cool, let me know when you have received the GFX card and plz post a pic of the front/fan. I prefer Nvidia Cards to Ati cards.

BTW, why are you selling the card?
#10
Just want the little bit more performance that the 285 offers, to be honest though I would have to know how much cash you want along with it to see if trading cards with you is justified

EDIT: I'm assuming you are refering to the 280 and not the 4870
#11
So how much would you expect if you were satisfied with the 280?
#12
I am looking at 50 - 90 depends on the condition of the fan and card..
