So the time has come that I need to move out of my current house (student living has been fun) and as such will be downgrading to a much more sensible sized screen. I have an Optoma HD20 with around 500 hours on the bulb so a good 2500 hours of life left, in perfect condition. It's been well looked after, and has never skipped a beat (although the long HDMI cable included has seen better days). Please note that this was bought 2nd hand from AVF from a high feedback seller last year, and as such I am unaware of any warranty on the device. Also included is an Optoma DP-9092MWL Pull-Up Screen, which is also in perfect condition (although some slight rippling can be seen - this is unavoidable due to the nature of the screen).

As both items are expensive and large, I am hoping any buyer will be able to collect (and can then see the system working in all its glory - I'm keeping the speakers though!), although I am willing to deliver if appropriate insured delivery is agreed beforehand. Looking for £330 for the projector and £120 for the screen, but can do both for £400 if collected.
Shipping/Payment:
Paypal Gift, Bank Transfer or Cash on Collection.

Following the thread spoiling have decided to price drop and sell the new bulb separately (already got a buyer lined up from a church - will update the lamp hours later - estimated around 600) - £350 collected for both. £280 projector, £100 for the screen. separately.

Hi, where are you based?

Hi, where are you based?

I'm in Bristol! But I can move the projector to Stoke-on-Trent on monday. The screen is reasonably static though due to its length.

Hi Tom. Sorry to hijack this thread. Do you still have the Humax HDR-1000s for sale? I would have sent you a private message but I'm not allowed until I'm a more active member!

Any chance you could post some pics ?

If we can agree on a price, I can ask a mate to pick it up from you in Bristol.

I have a 3M projector screen which is unfortunately 4:3 ratio (I think around 80''), hence I might consider your screen. But first I need to check the size of the screen at home to see if I can justify the upgrade.

I'll relist it on here later. Check back tinght and I'll have posted it - it's unfair to bump this with comments about a different item!

Sure. I'll update the top post in a few minutes. Has your friend got a big car for the screen, or would you want the screen posted and the projector picked up?

This last pic is my best effort to show the minor screen rippling. It is unavoidable in screens of this nature, and does not detract from the viewing experience at all. With an item of this value though, I feel that transparency is of paramount importance :)

Either second or third bump.

sbirsen has first dibs at £350 collected for the lot, or £280 collected for projector, and £90 for the screen delivered (less insurance required so less of a liability).

This offer is extended to anyone else who inquires after sbirsen has had a period of time to consider.

£280 collected for the Projector, £300 delivered.
£70 collected for the screen (once the projector has been bought), £90 delivered.

Thanks for the pics appreciate the effort! The proctor looks nice and well looked after, I trust that there is no issue with it whatsoever.
I have two concerns; first - how to get the item from Bristol, as by the looks of it my mate might not be able to pick it up, at least not in the near future. Second, the price - I am looking to pay no more than £325 for both delivered. Or collected for £300, to meet somewhere half way between Bristol and St Albans.

I have no transport sadly (in the process of learning to drive though!). I'm afraid I really can't go that low delivers as the screen alone cost half that price! I can do the projector for £290 delivered and you can source your own screen, but postage on the screen will be at least £20, and the projector similar, if not more! I really can't afford to undersell this as I paid around £470 for the lot little over a year ago :(

Knockingg £100 off I'll do £370 delivered for the lot too.

Thanks for the offer, but that really isn't how depreciation occurs.

Though I won't go as low in price as domz01, he's correct that you are the third owner and that has an impact on the price. Unfortunately gadgets loose a lot in value within a short time, I sold loads of high end phones for half their price a year after they came out, same for laptops. I'm sure you'll agree that hd20s in good condition can be bought on ebay for around £225-£235, and screens go for around half what I offered. I'd like to buy yours because it comes as a set (although I can see myself upgrading to a larger screen in the future).

I'll increase my offer to £330 delivered and £305 to meet half way collected, but that's all I can do tbh. Payment can be in whatever form you prefer and you feel comfortable with. Thanks for considering.

Hahahaha ok, :D I will go 300 but it will be third hand and you can get it for them same price and cheaper elsewhere, just saying(_;) but it looks like a good unit honestly

You really can't get them cheaper elsewhere. The screen is available on gumtree for £80 collected from Ayr in Scotland, and one recently went for £110 collected on another popular auction site. I'm in no real hurry to sell either so I'm happy to wait for a higher offer. I'm really sorry but I'm going to hold out for minimum £350 for the lot. Thanks though, and I'm sorry we can't quite come to an agreeable price! :(

What cable are included?

Hiya domz1, I will include a 7.5m HDMI cable and can include a spare VGA/HDMI cable to sweeten the deal (although these are typical £2/3 jobbies)

In the link that just got deleted for reasons don't understand, it seems you bought both for £400, not £470 as you said above...?

The bulb had 310 hours when you bought it, now around 600 hours as per the pic above, so there isn't a new bulb in the projector I guess ? Anyway, I'm sure you have your reasons, I just didn't understand what was explained to /discussed with the moods about the reasoning of your pricing and how it is connected to your previous purchase price.

I paid £190 for the screen brand new, £270 for the projector. The projector had a new bulb that I had purchased with it, but that was sold separately and pricing revised accordingly.

I feel like we are close price wise, and like I said, I've come to £350 but that is my absolute lowest. I've learnt that specific AV stuff such as that lovely screen depreciates beyond belief oO.

£350 delivered for both is the final offer I can do. £280 for the projector, £80 for the screen. Have to post them separately so not much point offering a better discount other than I can only take one morning/afternoon off work by selling in one go!

EDIT - Just read over the AVF thread - I didn't get the £130 screen in the end. I went for a larger pull-up screen than I had originally plumped for - as is often the case in the AV World!

Right, projector screen is off sale until 2 weeks time (other end of the country from where I am). I have the projector with me.

Final bump on the projector for £280 delivered for what is still a high end projector :)
#23
Have you still got that new bulb??
#24
Just to be clear, does that mean you can't send it for the 2 weeks and will continue to use it ?
#25
I may be a bit confused, but did you say that you bought the projector for £270 and you're selling it for £280?
#26
I will leave the screen, as I'll need something a bit bigger.

I'll offer £250 delivered for the projector (with around 650 hours on the lamp).

Thanks to everyone for posting. The screen has been left in its current location whilst I go on holiday so it will not be used. The projector has travelled with me but I am unable to post it after Thursday as I am away on holiday (have travelled to my parents house pre-holiday as going away with them!). The projector will not be used anymore as I am downsizing to a more sensible screen size :p

The new bulb has been sold to a local church to replace the one they're using so that is gone, done and dusted. They purchased it at a price I was happy to sell at as a mates rate kinda thing.

I appreciate all the offers, but will get back to folks once I've priced up delivery. Postage will likely be with UPS as I've found them to be one of the better couriers. I have set an asking price at £280 and will only consider dropping should this not be achieved by Thursday.

I PM'd you the corrected address. I'm sorry, that was my mistake, a small copy/paste issue with the building number :( Everything else is correct.
Thanks
