Orange SF for sale - I'll not bore you with the specs, if you're interested, you'll already know what the phone is capable of. Just looking to make my money back. SPECIAL DELIVERY NEXT DAY INCLUDED.

Bought on 09/11/10.

Brilliant phone, absolutely no problems with it, but I can't get on with it for two reasons;

1. I find it difficult to text one handed, on the move - one handed AND on the move is even harder.

2. The battery needs charging every day IF you're using all the multimedia features. The phone will happily send and receive texts and sit on standby for a good 3 days. I don't always have access to my charger so and rely on a strong battery.

What you get:
Orange SF & 2GB MircoSD Card
2 screen protectors (3rd one is already fitted)
ALL original accessories, manuals & box (earphones unused)
An invoice & receipt for any warranty claims
OEM Android pouch for phone - will be sent when received, bought off eBay recently.

Phone hasn't been unlocked as I'm on Orange anyway, but has been 'rooted & ROM'd'.. I'll do a clean install of a stable 2.1 ROM & data wipe before delivery.

Further info in next post..
Shipping/Payment:
BT or PayPal Gift - Special Delivery Next Day included in cost.

WILL BE SENT 1ST CLASS AS SOON AS RECEIVED FROM SELLER

Phone has had a screen protector on since purchase, and has always been in a microfibre pouch bought off eBay. I'll supply this pouch if the buyer wants, but it's not a great fit - hence why I bought the Android neoprene one a few days ago. Not a single wear mark on the phone, in 100% condition. All features tested and functional - gps, BT, wifi.. everything fine. The charger for the phone is USB to phone, so can be charged via PC, but also supplied as standard is a plug with a USB connector which comes in handy.

If you want any help, give me a PM when you get it - I was worried it might be difficult.. I've never modified a phone before.. but it's simple. It's made to sound overly complicated on the MoDaCo forums.

As far as I know, you can't really brick the phone as you're only changing software rather than hardware, so if anything goes wrong, you just change the software again. Some ROMs are now being released that overclock the processor which might creat issues in the future, but I only ever installed stable 2.1 ROMs.

Sorry, price isn't really negotiable. Phone is tested and without fault and effectively brand new. This is for those that want the phone without the hassle of the SIM card and topup requirements. AFAIK, the phone has gone up in price since - I just want back what I paid for it..

I'll see if anyone needs/wants the phone unlocking. I remeber reading that the unlocking of the phone was made much more simple recently so I'll have a quick look.

yep use this info

FREE Unlock calculator: http://www.nextgenserver.com/calculator/
Put IMEI in (which is printed on the box and is also available at Settings-About Phone-Status-IMEI), select ZTE, leave default model as ZTE BLUEBELT

but use internet explorer not firefox - for some reason it did not work in FF

just put the IMEI number in then click go ....

put non Orange SIM in phone and boot up then it asks for teh 8 didgit number the calculator generates - really that easy !!!

Hi,

Don't suppose you want to trade for an 8GB ipod touch and a little cash?

1 month warranty remaining on touch as well.

Didn't ask for the unlock code - just went to homescreen and said no service.. this with an O2 SIM. If anyone needs the phone unlocked I'll research further.. I'll put the stock Orange ROM on the phone and try again.

No trades either sorry.

is O2 coverage good in your area? I am running my wifes on O2

I did my unlock from the stock ROM

have heard other ROMs effectively unlock the phone by default

do you have any other SIMS to try?

I will take at asking assuming it will work on the three network and still available? I am interested in the Android system but have no experience with it would it be best left rooted rom'd etc?

Provided I can get it unlocked, I don't see why it wouldn't work on 3. You might have to do some work yourself setting up the protocols for the internet connections though as the phone will only have Orange settings as default.

Android is brilliant, it's come a long way in a few years. Rooting the phone basically means that you have more control over the phone. A ROM is basically the mobile equivalent of an Operating System for a PC. There are a number of variants and types on the MoDaCo forum.. you'll have a bit of research and reading up to do if you're serious about the phone though.

Setting up the protocols for the three network shouldn't be a problem and call through to them, they usually send a software packet for many of their applications.

Worth baring in mind the phone also has Orange branding on the back cover - many users are covering it with a Android robot sticker available on eBay.
