FS Original Jap 1.5 PSP w/ latest fw & 2gb memstick

Selling my PSP because I dont really use it anymore. It is an original Japanese 1.5 firmware edition with the Sharp screen. The model number is PSP1000.

It comes with a 2gb Sony High Speed memstick, a Sony 32mb memstick, earphones w/remote, soft case, and AC adaptor (the plug is a Jap 2-pin plug but I will include the 3-pin adaptor for use in UK).

It is unboxed at the moment but I may be able to find the box after some searching. It will be packed well for postage regardless.

The latest stable custom firmware is installed (3.52 M33-4) so you can use homebrew, play backups etc.

I also have 2 original games for it; Exit and Virtua Tennis World Tour.

Im asking for £95 for the lot or £85 without the games (delivered via recorded delivery), payment via BT. If you want to pay by paypal then you will have to compensate me for the fees they will charge.

The following pics are mainly for the benefit of fanpages who asked me for them in a previous thread so blame him if you think there are too many :p
Oh and I apologise for the poor quality, thats what you get from a camera on a W810i.

Sounds like a good deal to me.
Although technically it isn't the latest custom firmware, 3.52m33-4 IS the most stable of the recent custom firmware releases, and this PSP will be updatable to these when they become viable for general use.
Good luck with the sale boomboom,

Mike..

Cheers Mike. I did state that it was the latest "stable" firmware. If the buyer wants 3.71 Im sure I can put that on for them if they want :)

Would you split and if yes, how much for the memory card? Could you show that that magic gate is enabaled which shows hwete it is fake or not.

Sorry, dont really want to split thanks. How can I show that Magic Gate is enabled?

while in the menu if you highlight the memory stick and press triangle then select information it will tell you if its magic gate enabled or not
hope this helps

Hi,

Recorded Delivery will only offer compensation up to 100 times the value of a first class stamp.

Would your prices £85 &/or £95 (with games) +/- PayPal fees (as appropriate) accommodate delivery by Royal Mail Special Delivery instead (as this has a higher compensation level in the event of loss/damage in transit)?

PS. Thanks for the photos... looks very clean & tidy.

Could you confirm that the UMD drive 'ring' is not marked/scratched, and that there are no dead pixels at all on the screen?

BFN,

fp.

With regards to the Magic Gate all it says is "Unknown". Does this mean it is fake? The information printed on the back is raised and the build quality looks very good - the same quality as the 32mb official PSP Sony card I have.

The UMD drive ring is not scratched or marked in anyway. However, the screen does have 2 dead pixels.

Glad I asked that question, as unfortunately I was looking for a console without any dead pixels. I was going to make an offer following your response as well. That's a pity.

With regards your question about Magic Gate cards, eBay have a very useful guide to detecting a real or a fake card.

Hope this helps.

Ok, thanks for that fanpages. Have had a look at the ebay link and all the info points to my card being a real Sony apart from the Magic Gate status being "Unknown".

I bought it from Cex not so long ago so I may take it back and get a refund. If I do I will post back in here to lower the price to reflect that.

fanpages, are you completely against the idea of the dead pixels? Because if not you could always make me an offer?
#13
ill go £75 all in m8 with dead pixels . bank transfer

You're very welcome for the link.

Yes, I would be looking for a perfect screen, unfortunately.

It's a real shame as the rest of the unit looks great; the best early Japanese console I've seen for sale... and it does offer the superior Sharp TFT screen. I'm sure someone will make a sensible offer, but not for me, I'm sorry.

Good luck.

Thats a little too low if you want the games as well.

Thats ok, it is a shame with regards to the dead pixels but oh well. At least I know I have a good model and it is in good condition apart from that. Cheers anyway :)

i am intrested in PSP but would need to recieve PSP before made payment cash on delivery or bank transfer on delivery
#17
Holty: No disrespect mate, but no one is going to send a PSP to someone who has 25 posts and is an unknown on here.
Boomboom is a regular and is known by a few people, those who ask for goods to be sent first are usually people who have very good feedback and the person selling is a newbie, kind of like the complete opposite of this situation :)

Sorry but theres no chance of that happening. As Mike says your not well known on these forums (I dont even consider myself a well known member yet but I have done deals with people and have good feedback).

Whats your offer anyway?
#19
how bad is the 2 dead pixels situation? any pics of it showin the dead pixels?
#20
Theres no way I can get a pic of the dead pixels because I just dont have a decent enough camera. I will take a pic of the PSP and work some photoshop magic on it to show you where they are located :)

Hang on a sec...
#21
are the 'dead pixels' stuck on a colour, e.g red
#22
Hmmn, have you tried taking the cover off boomboom? I thought one of my PSPs had a dead pixel for months, I was completely certain that was what it was- then when I took the front cover off to clean it through, it turned out to be a bit of dust!
#23
in$anity - I think one of them is red and the other is white. At least thats what it looks like to me.

billyX - Yeah, theyre definitely dead pixels. You can tell a speck of dust on the screen because if you hold it at a certain angle you will see it reflected on the LCD screen under the plastic screen (if that makes sense!)

Anyway heres a pic to show where abouts they are:

Let me know what I owe you for the GBA stuff and I'll send it back to you :

boomboom: there is a program called pixel fixer for PSP you can use to try and get them working, there is also another one, I am just trying to find the links for them for you now mate,

Mike..
#26
hmmm ok.. the two dead pixels are putting me off a bit i must admit..

I've got a guy in another thread offering £66 for his PSP, can you better that, seems you have the dead pixels?

Cheers bud
#27
What thread is it? I dont really want to go that low to be honest as this is an original Jap model (PSP-1000) with the Sharp screen. It is also in immaculate condition. Fair enough about the dead pixels but this is somewhat of a conneseuirs PSP :)

Wicked, thanks a lot Mike
#29
boomboom: try clicking THIS. run that from GAME150 folder and you *should* be able to fix those dead pixels hopefully :

Mike..
#30
blimey, a pixel fixer! whatever next...
yep, the money was from me, found the advance wars box today, has got instructions with it, will sort it all out for you tomorrow :)
back to boombooms thread...
#31
billyX: lol, yup back on topic....

boomboom: did the pixel fixer work?

mike..
#32
Still trying the pixel fixer. How long do you have to leave it?
#33
lol, you should be able to drop the little curser on to the dead/ stuck pixel, press X to to run it then /\ to stop it, move it off the pixel and see if it has fixed the problem, should only take a few moments, if not fixed they are completely dead im afraid :(

Mike..
#34
Yeah thought so. I left the little thing flashing on them for ages but theyre still the same. Oh well, I might put it up on ebay if theres no interest here.
#35
will this allow me to play psx 1 games? and does it come with memory card
#36
Hi, is this still available? If so where are you based?
#37
Might be interested in this, looking for a PSP in good condition with custom firmware. Dead Pixels put me off a bit but if the price is right...
#38
If boomboom has sold his I have one for sale, if he hasn't then I wont thread hijack :)

Mike..
#39
Its still for sale but without the 2GB mem card (Ill ask a mod to change the thread title to reflect this).

Ill take £75 delivered for it if youre interested.
