I have for sale my 'phat' PS3, this is the sought after backwards compatible UK version, plays all PS1 and PS2 games and has the memory card slots at the front and 4 USB ports.

Comes Fully boxed with all cables , instructions, 1 sixaxis pad and little big planet.

Selling to fund new purchases of shiney apple items. Not used by children at all. Very good condition.

looking for £210 ONO
Shipping/Payment:
shipping is £25 for PS3's as the things are heavy! I am happy to drive 10-20 miles for free to deliver (Bristol area) and i work a lot around the M4 corridor and the south coast.

Payment by Paypal preferred - send payment as a gift please.

Can you post a picture please. :)

Also, has it ever gone wrong/been replaced by Sony?
#2
picture to follow, Never been faulty or sent for repair.

I will just grab the box from the loft and prep the piccys. ;)
#3
Yeah, i just checked the weight and its approx 8 KG's.

According to parcel force website sending 8KG parcel from Bristol postcode to Bristol postcode is £15. So sending around UK may be different price but i will work from £15 48 hr delivery.

thanks garbage.

Picture of console and boxed items..

Obviously includes the PSU and Relevant Video cables and a Lan cable ( there tucked in under my desk at mo - hence no piccy)

i offer 150
#6
no thanks, Thats not a sensible offer.

Game will give me £140 on a trade in and they offer terrible prices.
#7
Would you consider a part exchange for a 80gb ps3 and cash. You could then sell the 80gb one to help the fund the cost of new shiny apple items lol.

160?
#9
i will offer £170 for it? has it been used much at all? thanks
#10
if anyone offers 210 i will post for free, the offers so far are to low.

no thanks on the exchange mate.

It has been used but not much, i have a blu-ray player already so i did not really use it for media either.

FYI - I am an E-bayer and the item could be listed on there if the fees were split, purely for protection of buyer and seller - this would incur extra fees, which i would split 50/50 with the buyer - knowing ebay i expect it would be around £10 - 18 on fees..

I have sold items on forums before with no problems.

My Paypal account is years old and verified / confirmed. Once a sell is agreed i will give contact details to buyer as well. The PS3 can be shown working (by video) before any sales go through to prove its in working order if required

Maybe its just me but that kinda confuzzled me... and don't ebay charge you final value fee too... bout 10%?
#13
eBay fees would total around 10 - 18 pound, which would be split 50/50 by buyer and seller ...

Don't see what's confusing there..

No takers on this offer?

Would like to get rid of it ASAP.
#15
I guess this has never been opened and warrenty sticker is all intact? Is the fan noisy?
#16
never been opened so if there is a sticker somewhere it will be intact, if you know where it is, i can take a photo if needed.

The fans are no noisier than other ps3's as far as i am aware.
#17
ok, last throw of the dice on these forums, if no takers i will have to face the pain of Ebay :s

I will accept £200 all in for the PS3.

Any takers?

Hi, I can offer £170 and can collect from Bristol (which would save you around £15 and the risk of it getting damaged).

Just trying to help the sale along...

As much as I would like this, the problem as I see it here is that you have a very low post count, no feedback, and have not offered any trading history example elsewhere.

Also, the rapid drop in price for a 'sought after' console is concerning.

Perhaps if you provide your eBay user name, those parties who wish to see your trading history can do so.

If I was anywhere near Bristol (rather than being in Kent), I would be talking with you further.

Good luck.

BFN,

fp.

Yeah i appreciate that selling items like this is dodgy as hell, or can be.

I have been answering PMs with my ebay user ID which is Bigbill0_1 - i have been a member for over 6 years on Ebay etc etc.

That is why i mentioned i could list this on ebay and split the fees if someone was interested. If i have not gotton rid of it by tommorrow i will be putting on Ebay, i need to get shot of the thing as i am away next week and want my shiney item from apple :)

I cant go any lower than £185 without postage and £200 including postage. If i cant get that price i will chance ebay and see what i get.

FYI if you are interested in Kent i will send my contact details and things to you before any sell goes through. I honestly cant see another way to sell via this method without trust involved.

I have my own website as well, www.hlwebdesign.co.uk which is active and linked to me... contact details on there also. (check the whois for dates etc when i registered the domain and all that good stuff)

thanks all, i think i can see that the HUKD forums will not provide me with a buyer :/ poxy Ebay beckoning me.. yuk.

Sorry mate £170 is my max.

To be left with £170 after ebay/paypal fees you'll need to get £200 on ebay, plus someone will then have to pay you £15 postage on top - do you honestly think most people will pay £215 for yours, when they can get an 80gb brand new with LBP & Ghostbusters for £220 here:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/469462/playstation-3-80gb-little-big-plane/

I appreciate the 60gb holds it's value, but a lot of people don't really care about backwards compatibility, so I think you may struggle to get £215 on ebay.

IF you list on ebay, this wil lbe locked and you'll probably be suspended.

I will ask for the thread to be closed if i list o Ebay and i have put an expirey on this 'offer'. Thats a chance ill take... lol

£170 is to low thanks mate. If a trade shop like CEX is offering £160 (i went in today and asked) i will clear £200 on ebay.
