FS: PS3 (Slim 120GB), under a year old, hardly used. £140.00 + delivery

I'm selling my PS3 as it simply doesn't get played. I've got so many games on the 360 and it's clear to me now that the PS3 will never get a look in. As such, I'm selling it on and will just invest in a Blu Ray player.

I can't remember exactly what month I got it last year (came with a mobile phone contract- will confirm later exactly when I got it), but I know it's under a year old. In the time I've had it, I've played about an hour of Motorstorm, a couple of hours of Resistance, an hour or so of Heavy Rain (having not gotten around to playing through this is my only regret!!), an afternoon on Little Big Planet and one night on GT5. That and a few Blu Rays is literally all the usage the BD drive has had! It's fair to say I've spent more time using Vidzone and the TV players than anything else! The pad has been charged no more than five or six times ever, too. Obviously the point I'm pressing home is that it's had very light use.

I've never attempted any form of jailbreak or modification. Firmware is 3.56.

Console is fully boxed with all original documentation and will be formatted. Includes Dual Shock controller, in excellent condition.

Will be sent via your choice of courier, at your expense. I'm happy for it to be as cheap as possible, with the exception of having to lug it to a Collect + point. However, I believe you may be able to get it collected from my home and delivered to YOUR Collect + point if you so choose. However, I will only agree to options that give us both appropriate insurance coverage (for example, £50 of coverage will not suffice).

Collection is also welcome at £140 cash.

I have two games that can be included, Heavy Rain and Little Big Planet, for an extra £15.

Fire away with any questions :)

Forgot to mention, Bank Transfer only.

A courier is simple, it just needs to be booked and paid online. It's got CECH-2004A on the bottom of the console.

Sorry, already got one. It's also why I never play the PS3.

EDIT: In response to below, it's not that I think XBox 360 is better- they're both excellent consoles. I just don't have time to commit to more than one and I have so, so many 360 games still sealed on my shelf, let alone recent releases I want to buy, that it just makes sense to let the PS3 go and get a Blu Ray player instead.

Speaking of which, I'm open to partial trades for a Blu Ray player but ONLY brand new ones, sealed in the box.

maybe best to hold onto my xbox afterall :)

Final bump.

Would also consider some sort of trade for a PC monitor (or LCD TV that functions well as a monitor) at least 23'' or larger, from a decent brand and with warranty still remaining. Something like a Samsung P2450H would be a good example, but HDMI is a must.

Ok - I'll Leave it unless the price is lowered as I can pick up a 2100A from chips with a 12 month warranty for £160 :/
#13
Not that I can see that at any 'Chips' retailers anyway, this is very fairly priced and I'm not coming down lower. I'll take to ebay or sell locally on Gumtree if it doesn't go here.

£140 + £10 for Heavy Rain + £8 for courier (with up to £120 coverage) or £9.50 (with up to £250 coverage) = £158/£159.50, depending on what coverage level you want.

No thanks, I'd rather it went as one lot.

Would you sell for £125 including delivery without the controller.

The dualshock 3 controller is £35 new, so I'm sure someone would buy it from you here for £20-25 or something maybe.

For the console and everything. But without the games.

Interested in the package without the games, and could do a pickup. Given the offers above, what would be your lowest price for cash on collection?

It would be £140 mate, I wont drop below that price given how little it has ever been used.

I should also mention, mainly for SolidWarrior's benefit, that Heavy Rain is no longer available I'm afraid. I took it up to Asda today once I discovered they are offering £20 trade in.

£140 including delivery then ? And i'll sell the controller.

Sorry, £140 plus delivery.

I'm considering it, would be looking for £89.50 on top though based on your price of £60 for the player. The £9.50 would cover the courier with £250 insurance coverage. Would want the Blockbuster vouchers included too, since they're part of what you're offering for £60 in your thread!

It's Bank Transfer only and I've already declined £140 delivered, so that was a bit of a pointless offer really.

Okay, just give me a couple of hours to mull it over. I was liking the idea of being free to choose my Blu Ray player with a straight sale, but I'm definitely open to the idea of this one. Just need to do a little bit of research as I understand there's no optical out on this player, so I need to work out whether my options are limited by Blu Ray > HDMI to TV > optical from TV to receiver.

I'll post back with an answer at about 8.30pm :)

I'll leave the Blu Rays though, I've got Toy Story 3 already and wasn't keen on Robin Hood. I'm partially funny about the slipcases myself, I don't know why they can't all just either have them or not at all! I've got Toy Story 2 and 3 with them, and 1 just looks out of place without one! Saying that, I know my mate was considering getting TS3, as it's 7.1 and there aren't many Blus out there which let him take full advantage of his 7.1 system! He'll be arriving here shortly so I'll see if he's interested... How much would you be after for it?

Or you accept my offer, which means you lose out on £9.50 but you gain from being able to choose your own bluray player, brand new, with warranty :P

Why?

Okay, I'll deal mini0ne. Will PM you now with my address details and mobile number.

solidsnake1
Why?

Because you're unfairly bumping the thread, to the detriment of other members, to try and talk me into what you want. By dealing with mini0ne, I'm dealing with a trusted member with substantial feedback instead of someone with 0, and I'm not losing out on £9.50.
