Sounds like you are in trouble with Mrs E :)

Have you already registered the PSP Go console with Sony?
Are you including all the original packaging (including manuals, & inserts in the original box) with your sale?

Please can you confirm where the console was purchased, & when?
Will you be able to include a receipt for the item with your sale?

Is the screen & casing mark/scratch free?
Does the screen have any dead pixels?

Thanks for your time replying.

All original inserts, manuals and box are included, the console was bought from gamestation (i think) in March. I dont know if i still have the receipt (i assume i do) but not sure, will check that for you later. I dont know about including it if i do as it would potentially have credit card details on it... also i haven't registered it with sony.

The screen + casing are completely mint, no dead pixels and no scratches of any sort. I have literally only used it 5 or 6 times and only for a total of about 2 or 3 hours.

Hi Ed,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

If you have not registered with Sony, have you set-up a PlayStation Network account on the console & downloaded any content?

I also suspect that the Gamestation receipt will have masked your credit card details, but I would appreciate it if you could check for me (as should I need to make a warranty claim in-store I will need some proof that I purchased the console from Gamestation).

Finally, is the £120 inclusive of courier delivery charges?
I would prefer it if you could use Royal Mail Special Delivery.

Hi,

no i have not set up a PSN account at all so have not downloaded any content on the PSP.

you are correct on the receipt, i have it and the details are masked so will include it with the PSP.

£120 is indeed the delivered price. I would prefer to send using DPD as i struggle to get to the post office to send and DPD will pick it up from my work. If it is RMSD then it may take a couple extra days to get to post office.

Hi again,

Thanks for checking the receipt for me & confirming that the console is unregistered.

(Curious) What did you do on it for the few hours if you did not download anything?

Before I commit to a purchase, please could you confirm what is included in the box? Sorry for the extra level of detail but I have had to look at your photos via an iPhone screen & it's not easy to make out.

Yes, I would prefer Royal Mail Special Delivery as my delivery address is a Post Office Box & couriers do not accept this as a valid address.

PS. Payment: I will have to deposit cash into a high street bank instead of using electronic funds transfer. Does your bank account have a high street presence?

Hi,

cough, i was using an M2 card, cough, to do what i was doing, cough. This wont be included in the sale however.

I can use RMSD, just may be a day or 2 before i can get to the post office.

You get everything that is standard with the PSP go from new. Charger, USB cable and manuals/CD.

And i bank with both halifax and nationwide so either of these would be fine.

OK :) There is nothing on the console's internal storage then?

I can deposit cash over the counter at either of the two banks you mentioned

Pity you are retaining the M2 card... as I'll probably be sourcing one now!

I would like to proceed at £120 delivered by Royal Mail Special Delivery.

For the Bank Account your prefer, please can you "PM" the following details to me:

Bank Name
Branch Address
Branch Sort Code
Your Account Name
Your Account Number

Also your name, address & contact telephone number.

Please can you pack the outer PSP Go packing into another box so that the original box is not damaged in transit (rather than just wrapping the original box in paper)?

Thanks again for your time responding. Hope "Mrs E" appreciates the sacrifice you are making :)

Hi,

As promised, £120 was paid (in cash) into your nominated bank account at 2:15pm today (Tuesday 12 May 2010) for the payment for the item we discussed above.

Please can you confirm that the funds are available to you?

Also, as we also discussed, please can you advise me (by use of the "Private Messaging" facility) of the Royal Mail Special Delivery Barcode reference once you have this to-hand upon despatch of the boxed console?

Thank you.

I will leave suitable feedback for your transaction upon safe receipt of the item.

Hi,

Did you find the time to despatch my item today?

I'm just curious whether I need to arrange for somebody to be available to receive it tomorrow, or not.

Thanks for your reply in any respect.

Hello Eddie,

I am now very concerned you have not chosen to reply to my messages from the last two days. The last time I received any communication from you was over three days ago where you informed me that you had "spoke to my bank this morning and they have confirmed the money will be in your account by close of play today". These are the same funds you informed me you initiated transferring to me on 20 May 2010 (around 5:30pm).

I have asked you to check the bank account details to verify that the funds were paid to the correct destination. I have asked you to re-query the situation with your bank, and/or to check if the funds have been returned to you. So far I have had no response.

I am not sure if you are in the UK or not at present, or whether you have asked your partner to review the contents of your HotUKDeals "PM" inbox in your absence, but you have now had my money (and the item I paid for) since Tuesday 12 May 2010 at 2:15pm; sixteen days ago!

This evening, when I return home, I will send this same message to the e-mail address you provided to me. I am also posting this message in the original "For Sale" thread as up until now I have given you the benefit of the doubt & tried to be reasonable by keeping our discussions away from everybody else.

I think I have been more than patience with you.

A few points to consider:

a) Do I need to telephone you to resolve this issue?

b) If you no longer have the funds available to refund my payment, can we not look at you sending the PSP Go console (in the same condition, & by the same postal service we previously discussed) instead (as I originally intended, but you also failed to do).

c) If I cannot reach you by Tuesday next week then I will be forced to consider a crime has been committed & act accordingly.

Thank you for your reply by whatever means you feel suitable.

BFN,

fp.

Exceptional, this is beyond a joke - you've stretched this out for far too long.

Do the right thing and meet your obligations or refund your buyer immediately.

I have not received a response from my Private Messages, the above thread comment, or my direct e-mail to the seller over the extended weekend.

The bank account where the refund was to be transferred to was checked again this afternoon & is not showing any credit transactions from the seller.

I have just (6:30pm today) tried to call the land line number I was provided by the seller, but the line "rings out" & eventually goes to voice-mail.

I have not left a message, but I will try to contact the seller again later this evening.

If the seller was just to respond to say that he is having money issues (or family issues, has sold the item I purchased & spent my payment, or whatever) then we could discuss a refund in instalments, or some other arrangement could be reached.

Obviously with the lack of response nothing can be discussed. I know other buyers were having difficulties with receiving their items from the same seller, but I believe all parties have now received the items they paid for.

As I said last week, further action will be taken with regards the theft of my payment.

The purpose of this one further comment is to thank all those HotUKDeals members who have offered messages of support & suggestions to handle the problem in the last few days.

It is also here to give the seller, Eddie ("Exceptional"), one last chance to try to resolve the issue amicably.

Thank you.

fp.

Exceptional - Respond to the very understanding fanpages in a positive manner.

Resolve your other outstanding trades, including receipt of goods by you but payment not made to seller.

You must respond at next log on attempt. Perhaps you should reflect on the glowing reference you promised yourself in the OP here, a bit embarrassing surely.

Talk about the eleventh hour almost literally!

I could not reach Eddie again by telephone yesterday evening, & I was on the point of printing out all of our correspondence in order to take further action this morning when I received a refund to my PayPal account (a method that I had previously favoured but had been dismissed by the seller).

Checking my e-mail account remotely I see that Eddie has also responded (at 10:42am today) to my e-mail to him from last weekend. He had confirmed that he is, in fact, out of the country at present (as I surmised). He did not know why the transfer of funds between bank accounts had failed, but had chosen to set-up a PayPal account to make the refund to me.

Thanks again for everybodys offers of assistance by PM, especially aScottishBloke.

If this episode has taught me anything about trading with relatively unknown parties in classifieds forums is that I should stick to my own advice that I have given countless times before:

Do not spend more than you can afford to lose.

BFN,

fp.

(Pity really as this PSP Go console was eligible for the soon to be available Ten free games offer for PSP Go console)

Glad this is another trade finally resolved.

Exceptional, your conduct has been poor to say the least, demonstrating all the characteristics of a trader to be avoided.

I still need confirmation that all outstanding trades have been resolved. No excuses are required, just proof that all trades are complete.

Apparently King has had a reply back today saying that exceptional is on holiday!!!!!
