Corsica Chocolate 3 & 2 Seater Group Sofa

Had this delivered on Friday and have decided it is not for me - I am gonna go with a couple of reclining chairs and footstools.

Here is the suite on the Reid Furniture website @ over £1,000:
http://www.reidfurniture.com/uk/xmas-delivery/xmas-delivery-sofas/corsica-chocolate-3-and-2-seater-group-sofa.html

2 seater has been opened and I have sat on it a couple of times, the 3 seater is still boxed and unopened.

Bargain for somebody no doubt.
Shipping/Payment:
Will need to be picked up from Kilmarnock Ayrshire and I can offer no assistance in getting it shifting it as I am just out of Hospital (with Kidney Stones).

So you paid over a grand for it on Friday, and are now taking a £500 hit?

Rather you than me

No I paid over £500 for it on Friday as the one I had originally ordered from Reids went out of stock so they offered me this one as a replacement.

Ouch, you live in Kilmarnock AND you had kidney stones? Some people have no luck! :P

Have you tried returning it for a full refund? I know if you bought it in person at the shop then they have no legal obligation to offer a refund, but it's worth a go, especially given the fact that it wasn't the suite you'd originally intended to buy.

Yes double whammy both ways ... WG47!!:p

Reids want a 20% restocking fee and I will have to pay for returning the suite to them - another £60 or £70 so as per normal they have you by the gonads if you want to return anything.

Hence the bargain for somebody needing a suite before Christmas ...

Pretty sure that's out of order - you should get some professional advice on this and see if it's appropriate for them to charge that 20% restocking fee.

Try Consumer Direct.
