Got the RROD on my Xbox 360 last night, and it's out of warrenty as the manufacture date is in 2006.

It's a premium console, 20GB HDD, I am selling this as console and HDD only. It was previously banned from Live so the HDD is probably corrupted but I heard that the HDD can be used again when attached to a non-banned console.

In order to continue gaming, I am after another Xbox 360, flashed to 1.6, preferably already banned from Live, don't care about the HDD or HDMI, as cheap as possible, console only, cheers.

No, haven't bothered to open up and try to fix it, however it was once opened up to be flashed with iextreme 1.6

no cables included as I am hoping to get another Xbox 360 console only

How hard is it to fix RROD anyway, would anyone suggest fix this instead of buying another console?

Tried leaving it on for an hour or two with a towel wrapped around it?

Usually melts the chip back onto the mobo but is only a temp fix. Should keep it running between a week and a month though, so may be useful.

Yeah, you will need to print off the post label.

How about you lower it to £60 and I arrange postage and pick up, all you need to do is pack it up and hand it over to the courier guy?

Just read about this trick on some websites, sounds like a risky method though, might need some fire extinguishers handy before trying it.

X clamp fix is easy to do. Remove the X clamps and replace with screws and new paste from ebay about £5 for the kit. I got instructions with mine too. It lasted about 2 months then got the dreaded 0022 error would not fix any more.
