Another "before eBay" offering

Here I have my old LCD TV - only being sold because we have just decided to get one of the new Sharp LED backlit LCD TVs

It is in perfect working order and when it was new it really was a high end TV. it is about 4 years old now. In fact i would say that the picture quality of this TV is better than many cheap branded TV of today. The screen is fully calibrated so picture quality from either the DVI or Component sources is very good. To be honest I have not used the scart inputs for ages now, but just checked them and they do work.

Specs can be found on the net - the model number is LC-26GA3E

Points to note

No freeview - you would need an external freeview box, but we used this TV with virgin Media V+ HD box, so I guess a Sky HD would work equally well.

No HDMI input but it does have DVI with full HDCP and audio in so it can be used with an HDMI input source. As I say we have used it since new with Virgin Media's V+ HD cable box with no problems.

Also has component video input 720p as well as two scart sockets and PC input (VGA)

The TV would come with original box, instruction manual, remote as well as various cables including a HDMI to DVI lead and 3.5mm audio input cable, as we used with the V+ box.

Any other questions just ask.

As this is a very heavy TV the only option would be collection from South Birmingham, but that would also enable any buyer to see it working.

Pictures of the TV can be put up for those who are interested.

Price I believe is very realistic considering this is a quality TV made in Japan (not China, Taiwan Turkey etc)

Collection would be from Birmingham B32 post code area - Quinton

BTW just thought speakers are removable to make it more compact as a monitor.

Also this TV is the correct 16:9 resolution 1366x768 not the lesser but more common 16:10 / 1280x768 when this TV was bought

Don't suppose you've ever hooked it up to a 360 or PS3?

To be honest - no

I am not really a gamer and do not own an xbox or ps3 - only ever connected my nephews Wii and that worked fine.

but you can certainly connect via Component Video and I am sure that you can connect via HDMI with the HDMI to DVI-I and audio leads I am throwing in with the TV.

The distprtion is the camera not the TV !

Actually, have done some reading up of the specs and checked its suitability, have had a re-think and I've decided to take it at the asking price of £100.

Take to PM please then we can arrange a mutually convenient time for me to pop over.

Hi

I will take to PM today, where are you based ?

Without wishing to appear rude, I noticed that you offered £80 earlier on last night, and now you are offering my asking price of £100. If we go ahead I do not want to get into a barter situation later after this thread is closed.

I think £100 is a realistic and good price - the few that have finished on the bay have been about £150.

Hope this is OK with you?

thanks

Yes,....as per my post, after my original offer I'd read up and researched the model a bit more and come to the conclusion that the asking price was a fair price.

So yes, I agree, no bartering here.....and no offence taken

I'm a brummie too (originally from Quinton myself, as it happens) so no worries regarding collection.

I await your PM.

(Bear in mind I do work full time so won't necessarily be able to reply/respond during normal work hours)
