Looks like a nice deal considering the spot price for silver is over £11 per troy ounce.

hi hun thanks whats a troy ounce

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troy_ounce

Basically, it s a standard measure for gold, silver and other precious metals. It's more than the usual "avoir dupois" ounce.

The actual metal content in your item is worth around £18.50. You won't get this price for scrap silver but if it's a good piece of jewellry then only charging a few pound over the "raw" value is a nice deal.
