As header, I now have in my possession a pretty much mint condition CycloDS Evolution.

The metal tin is present as is the slot 1 card itself along with the transflash usb card adaptor and the foam protection within the tin itself. This is the Micro SD unit and will accept all micro sd cards including SDHC for quicker file transfer and larger card capacities.

I'm looking for £27.50 to be paid via Paypal including fees and sent via first class recorded delivery.

I will not be accepting any offers on this.

is this ready for drag and drop for games or do you need extra software, if it is game-ready I'll take it for asking price.

LOL

Here goes...

ctuk said they would take it at asking price if it was game ready. Before I could reply jib came in with an offer over asking price which is not in the rules of the forum (so that effectively canceled out their interest). Again before I could reply Saint came in saying that he would take it at asking price.

This has happened to me before on another forum, where I have agreed to take an item at asking price but wanted to ask a question before hand to clarify something. In the time the seller took to reply someone else came in with an unconditional "i'll have it" and I lost out. Thats wrong, plain and simple. In this case ctuk is wanting the item at the asking price but wants to clarify something fist so as far as I am concerned (and the rules should state this too - Admin want to look at changing them?) he has first dibs.

in fact, ctuk, i'll pm my info over assuming you still want it?

ctuk had conditions to his/her offer.

Could you ask a moderator to have a look at this thread.

I understand what you are saying Saint, but this is where the FS rules need changing, so please get a mod involved, its about time that this issue was sorted out.

(see you in the feedback forum no doubt!)

Would moderators be able to see that your first post on this thread originally read "the asking price is £27.50" in reference to jib77's offer

Have a look at this thread from yesterday, then you will see why I am questioning you.

I agree with what you are saying btw, but this forum doesn't work like what you and I think.

I don't think so.
I was only pointing out that their offer was void, as it is against the rules/guidelines as far as i'm aware.

My unconditional acceptance of the price is a separate issue.

Yep its ok, the info is there, both in the thread title and the accompanying text and pricing information. If I was to accept the £28 they offered I could be banned according to the rules. Offering over the RRP effectively cancels out their bid as it is not acceptable anyway.

See to me that should have been yours.

The original offer was rejected, you then stepped in offering asking price with a condition. As long as that condition was met then IMHO it doesn't matter who offers an unconditional asking price after that.

Look at it another way...

You (Saint) offer something up for sale and I say 'yes I'll take it depending on this this and this' (relating to the product or terms of sale). Most of the time this information is as valuable to everyone else as it is to me wanting to buy it. Lets say I go out (after all we cant all sit here and wait by the PC while we are waiting for others to reply). You reply with the answers to the questions I asked you, but as I am not at home to confirm that i will take it, someone else steps in and says they will take it at asking price (now they know more about the product or terms of sale.) Why should I then lose out just because I have a life and cannot be by my pc all day? See what I am saying?

Yes it is up to the seller who they sell to at the end of the day, but as far as I am concerned (and I really think that this should be implemented into the rules to save all the potential problems), whoever offers asking price should have first dibs. If the conditions cannot be met then the offer goes to the next in line or it goes out for a free for all again. Maybe with a time limit for the original interested party to get back to the seller before the item is then classed as being available to all? This can easily be implemented as every post has a time on it so there is no way of messing it up.

I have reported this thread so that a moderator can look at it.

I only received an answer ~12 hours later yesterday(After subsequently posting in feedback) so won't hold my breath.
#20
Saint, if you want to start this up in feedback then I'll be quite happy to join in the convo.

I am assuming that you have reported it as you have an issue with the 'rules' as apposed to having an issue with me in any way?

We're just looking over this-
#22
If someone asks a question and doesn't receive a reply, or if they make an offer with conditions, then another member makes an unconditional offer then it's up to the seller whether they answer the conditions of the first member, or accept the unconditional offer.

A seller or buyer shouldn't, however, pull out of a deal one an offer has been made/accepted.

That clears it up then.

So why is this not in the 'rules' then?
#26
The rules don't say that it has to be sold to the first buyer to offer it for sale...??
