Hiya Guys,

Thought id see if anyone could use this, as i was bought a Kindle at Christmas.

Its a Sony PRS300 EReader in excellent condition, no scratches, blemishes or anything on it, and has a plastic cover on the screen for extra protection. It was only used a couple of hours a night!

In December last year it suddenly stopped reading my books and had a constant circle with an arrow going around in the centre. Ive tried soft reset, hard rest and restore factory defaults, but its still there. I have no idea what the problem is or how to solve it or how much it would cost.

I bought this from a seller on another forum and it was brand new in August last year. He sent me the reciept but i have lost it, so not sure if Sony could fix the fault under warranty. The Sony Guarantee paper is in the box so maybe that could help?

Also included is a genuine leather Sony EReader cover with integrated light -this is a GREAT item to read with.

Postage is included. I have the boxes for both items still,so will pack them in that. Ive looked everywhere but i cannot find the instructions, however the ereader is simple to work out, but im sure theyd be some online. Also, stupid of me, but i cannot find the lead that connects the Reader to the computer, but again, these are cheap enough to find on the bay or somewhere.

It comes with the soft case it originally did aswell.

After taking mumojumbo's advice below, the fault has been fixed (ive redone it twice to be sure), but if buyer recieves it and is that fault, happy to refund and for buyer to return goods so i can get it fixed for good (although, i honestly think it was the error with the USB saying its charged and its not.
I will also include the mains adapter so you know its charged.

£30 here ?
£30 here ?

If you could got to £40? the case itself is worth at least £25 if you even look on the bay? so im not really making anything on a great little reader.

I'm out, you can get a working one with cover off ebay for under £50

Hmm, just had a look and couldnt see the one you mean? The case itself is about £25 so im not making any monies on this. It would probably be better if i sold the case separetly, but would rather they went together.

no thanks maybe if you had stuck to your initial counter offer we could have come to agreement ;)
Have you tried charging the unit from mains? Some reports say the unit freezes when the battery is low (but reports fully charged when charged from USB).

It didnt come with a charger, will any old one do, so i can check?

If it works, then obv price would be different.

I have just done as mumbojumbo suggested (i bought an adapter off the bay to connect it to mains) and its charging up -even though the USB says its full.

I have completley cleared it and downloaded a book afresh to it. It turned pages fine, no halting or circle in the middle.

Due to this new development, im not inclined to go accept the low offers previously offered.

I will however, include the adapter (esp as i have lost the original lead to the computer) so it can charge correctly.

I am now selling this as UNFAULTY, as that was the only fault i had.

If the buyer recieves it and discovers the fault i previously mentioned is still there, i will offer a full refund and ask them to return the EReader back to me so i can get it fixed and then offer again -but in all honestly, the mains charger shows that it WASNT fully charged despite the USB sayign it was so i dont think there will be a problem, but like i say, refund and return happily.

Thanks :3
