Here i have a toshiba equium laptop for sale as spares or repair.
the reason being as i cannot get it running (i am no expert on laptops)
when i aquired this, it had a cracked screen which i have replaced with a 'c' grade screen in the hope that it would work when i added another hard drive as well. unfortunately i dont have enough expertise to diagnose the problem and rectify it so i am offering it for sale.
the 80gb hard drive i bought is not included with the laptop but can be purchased with it for an additional £35 (the price i paid for it).
the laptop has 256MB ram installed although the bios says there is 450MB installed (i thought this was rather strange).
there are 2 keys missing from the keyboard (F6+F7)
general wear and tear marks as expected.
Windows XP COA sticker still attached to the base.
Lid catches that hold the laptop closed are missing but that doesnt detract from functionality.
No charger supplied but one can be provided for an additional £25

P+P will be £15 and will be well packed to protect in transit.
Looking for £80 but open to offers.

Apologies for the quality of the images.

the screen when running has a small vertical band as shown in the picture below. thats why it is classed as a 'c' grade screen.

this picture was taken from the listing from where i bought the screen. it is not showing my laptop running.
the reason i cannot get it running is when i try to boot from a CD to install windows sometimes it gets to the point of starting to read it then nothing happens. other times when i leave a cd out it says 'no bootable cd in atapi cd-rom drive'.
i just cant seem to get it to install or do anything.
i can get into the bios without problems so i am lost as to a solution.

bump
Whats lowest you can go for everything as the price together isnt that cheap for a faulty one lol

As for the ram it could have 256mb installed inside then someone added another 256mb later in the ram slot and the internal 64meg graphics takes away from the 512 so it sounds right

just shows what i know about laptops. lol.

the lowest i could go for all the items would be £100 plus postage. that way i can recoup initial outlay. (no profit made on that price :-( )
Also whats the actual spec? i.e processor type and speed, if you dont know it should say in bios
here's a link to info about the spec.

i know its definitely an a60-191 (from the label on the bottom  ) so i am assuming the spec is as shown on the link.
A good spec then.

So what does the screen look like in usage? i.e im confused about your description, is there dead pixels? blur etc
there is a thin (approx 1") discoloured band running vertically on the screen.
i dont think it is dead pixels. as on a black screen you can see colour on the band. in normal use it wont be really noticable that much as i does seem to be just minor discolouration and not emptiness. the image of the screen is taken from the listing on ebay that i bought the screen from and as i havent been able to get the laptop running i cant take my own photo. i bought that screen as oppose to others that were listed with even worse deformities (white bands etc) as that one seemed to be the least obtrusive. needless to say its something i could have put up with (minor blemish).
hope this helps.
