Had no luck selling this elsewhere, so gonna give it a go on here instead.
This car is irrepairable (not economically anyway) due to suffering cam belt failure on Christmas eve. If you know someone with a bit of time on their hands though, it could be a nice little project to get it running again.
Mileage currently just over 102,000.
One of the tyres is pretty worn and needs replacing if the car's ever gonna be driven again.
There's a problem with the clutch too, in that when you press the clutch, it gives the engine a little rev. This may have been caused by the fact that the cam belt was on its way out (though I'm not mechanically minded, so don't really know...).
Also, slight lingering damp smell inside. The car hasn't been driven since before xmas though, so maybe all it needs is a bit of air, and a splash of febreze.
No battery. Can supply one for £25 extra with a 4 year guarantee, but looking to sell this seperately otherwise, as this is also brand new.
Front discs & pads are brand new. These were replaced just a week or 2 before the cam belt failed, and I have the receipts to prove this.
Bodywork pretty immaculate, bar a bit of rust on the rear wheel arches.
Interior is clean & tidy, needs a hoover but no suspicious stains. Also doesn't smell of cigarettes.
New thermostat fitted just after cam belt failure (car had overheated as thermostat was faulty, so thought i'd preempt the garage. D'oh...
Supplied with original Ford radio head unit, but don't have the code for this, so happy to provide a cd/radio unit also. Nothing flashy, but does the job.
Service history available for current 3 years.
MOT runs out in April.
I'm ideally looking for £100 for this.... or failing that, a games console. Either an Xbox 360 or a DS Lite would be preferred. Need all the leads though, and if you've got them, a couple of games too!
I can supply pictures of the car, but at the moment it's covered in snow, and I'm not going out there!
This would have to be collected from my home address. You would need to be able to tow it back to your home, it cannot be driven. You will have to make the necessary arrangements for this (but I'm happy to give you a hand pushing it off the driveway!).
I would prefer a cash on collection arrangement.
Home address is in Portsmouth area by the way!
