Hello, long time user, but I've just registered for advice on this or an actual result. I managed to get a second Galaxy SII. It's still sealed and in it's box because having played with my sisters SII I find the reds on the Super AMOLED+ screen too strong for my liking and have decided to sick with my trusty HD2 with Android for the time being. Thought of selling it on eBay but there commission is too much. So I turn to you guys: where can I sell it for a good price or trade it for an iPad 2.

Offers or advice please. Thanks.

ideally i'd like somewhere between above 400 and near 450 to go towards an iPad 2 Wifi 32GB. i don't want to add too much on top as the phone cost enough initself. what would you ideally like to pay?

You must post pics with your user name and you must state a price and all negotiations must take place on the thread not via email

I got a brand new sealed ipad 2 16gb wifi+3g, happy to trade for Galaxy s2 if you can add some money on top.

How much did you pay for your galaxy s II. You can't sell it for higher than what it cost you. Have you got a receipt?

O2 receipt has no prices on it. the phones costing me £600+ over 2 years. hopefully i get £50 back of Quidco. this is including minutes and sim that i'm keeping. have submitted for a sim unlock as it is free on O2 contract.

Any interest in a trade for a 32gb iphone 4? locked to vodafone

I would be willing to trade my like new, pristine condition iPad 2 16gb wifi in black as a straight swap, but due to your feedback I would require you to post the phone first, once received I would post the ipad to you.

Let me know.

no-one have an 32GB iPad 2 Wifi? 3G is not needed or wanted, consider it a bonus. plus i'll add cash on top. only reason i want an iPad is cause i love point & click games and Android doesn't have many our any at all. plus they take up a lot of room: that's why i'd prefer it to be 32GB minimum.

i'm considering all offers plus cash accepted. thanks.

can offer £390 if you would post first.
#12
willing to post first, but would prefer collection from my house. 420 is minimum i'd consider at the moment cause it's completely sealed as received. thanks for the offers. give me sometime to think.

i apologise before hand if i come across as rude; i'm just trying to be as concise and straightforward/transparent as possible.

I am sadly unable to collect. I cannot make a cash offer. All I can offer really a straight swap for my iPad 2 16GB WiFi. It has hardly been used, is in pristine condition, boxed with all original accessories.

Could you check if this is unlocked and unbranded please. If it is both, I can offer £400, but I'd need you to post first since you have no feedback.

AV1985, he has stated that it is from o2 and he has requested a sim unlock from them.
The phone should only have a o2 splashscreen on startup/shutdown, they don't usually externally brand their handsets :)

Thanks, I missed that part.

As long as the phone isn't externally branded, I'd offer £400 though I'd also need the unlock code. Again, of course I'd need it posted first.

What I would do is receive, pay £390 and then once the code comes through, pay the remaining £10.

You just replied now! Would have been useful to just reply to the offers when you posted this to save some time!

sorry about that. got back home from work to find a strange guest waiting (don't really know who he was). then he left. then some other more familiar guests arrived, who i hadn't seen for at least a year or two. then they left. then waited on some distant family members who were set to arrive but failed to show up. i'm sure you've been through similar. tired and sleepy now plus another 12 hour shift tommorrow.

anyhoo, onto business:
AV1985 i like your offer the best so far. i accept if you pay for delivery as i wanted it be collect only. don't really know about delivery costs; i'm assuming about £10 (recorded and insured); correct me if i'm wrong. so that's £400 plus £10 for delivery. £10 of that is to be paid to me on reciept of unlock code.

now for my safety: what guarantee does HUKD provide if i am scammed by the buyer claiming not to have revieved the goods? is there anything similar to the eBay Paypal buyer protection? cheers and sorry for rambling.

oh yeh, not to be cheeky or anything any last offers? hehe.;)

To be honest mate, I'd want £400 to be inclusive of delivery. Royal Mail Special Delivery will only cost you £5.90 anyway so not exactly much, and it's insured up to £500. And guaranteed next day.

What guarantee does HUKD provide... in reality I don't think anything except that I have 72 other people who will attest that I won't scam you and you'll have my address, phone number, email, contact details and can have my work details too. Best I can offer really!
#23
okay fair enough, up to you if you want to pay delivery; your choice entirely. if i sent you a detailed Paypal invoice would that be good? how much would they cgarge me, do you know?

A PayPal invoice would be fine but as I'm not going to pay you until I've received it, I don't need an invoice. I just need your PayPal details and I will transfer £400 as soon as the item is received.

Of course you can send me an invoice if you wish, it's just not a necessity!
#25
Oh, and I presume you will send the actual receipt with this so I can register it on my name, to avoid it being declared stolen in the future by someone and thus me losing £400?!
#26
haha. i don't think you'll want to go through with the deal now. what reciept? it's on contract. i'm keeping.the sim for minutes and such. plus i'm still paying monthly. all that the "reciept" contains is what i recieved in the parcel. how would i go about transfering this to your name ( a genuine question)? plus if i wanted ti con someone i would have taken the first offer i recieved; so much an easier and quicker con than what i did. plus why am i so intent on collection from my home? anymore questions?

Very true. I do have one major question - why did or do you have two Galaxy S?

A copy or even a picture of the receipt (as in with contract details which would have the phone IMEI on it) would suffice.

Transferring to my name, I reckon I can do that when I get the phone, will just contact O2!
#28
the first one i bought for my sister (mentioned in original post). part of the contract terms are that i can't sell the phone as i don't actually own it until my contract finishes.
#29
Can I see pictures of both phones together please?

Also a picture of the invoice with phone imei or phone number on it, next to a picture of the phone with the imei or phone number also showing?

Thanks
#30
Have you thought anymore about my offer? Straight swap for my iPad?

I know you would rather a 32gb but the offer is still there.
#31
give me a sec. if i did this will you pay for delivery? :p
#32
Bryan, can I just ask, you don't seem concerned about the security of this. Why not? Or maybe I'm being over the top?

Nice try shiz but 400 quid seems fair! Also, do you have any feedback anywhere like ebay?

I think this deal is pretty much done here though!

Haha, yep I trust people too easily! :)

Glad the deal is sorted (almost), enjoy your new phone buddy. My iPad is growing on me...slowly.. :)

I'm sorry mate, I should explain that I had a laptop stolen from me on Tuesday
Someone paid for it via paypal after ebay, collected it and then reversed the payment and paypal said my money is fine because I didn't post it so I'm 500 quid out of pocket, hence the over caution. I wasn't like this before, lol.

Call it a deal, take to pm?
#39

that's old plus it's unavailable (or just a long wait).

AV1985 you wanna sleep on it or finalise? i've been as transparent as i can; i've jumped many hoops. your choice.
#40
shiz, seems fine to me, and you've convinced me. I do apologise for the hoops, call it a deal at £400.

I did say in an earlier post that I would definitely need the unlocking code though, that's ok right? In addition, someone else said that the phone comes with no branding on the hardware itself (software branding isn't a big problem) - is this right yeah?

PM me :)
