FS: Two Indian Suits (unstitched) £50.00

Basically, my wife wants to sell two sets of clothes. Brand new of course, the outfits are unstitched, approximately 2 metres. They are the:

Salwar (bottoms)
Kameez (top)
Dupatta (scarf)

Both are fancy, embroidered, quite heavy. Both are silk. If you have any further questions, just ask.

In shops, these would be around £50 each. I'm looking for £25 each, or £50 for both. BT preferred, though will accept PayPal.

Photos are in the next post.

Any questions, just ask.

Sorry, I meant or £45 for both.
- AV1985

Price drop to £20 each or £38 for both.

#3
The price has been dropped.
#4
hi am intrested in it but what would ur last price b?
and where are u from?
#5
Assalamu Alaykum (your username gives it away!)

I'm from Coventry, unless you meant where I am from originally?

I've quoted my price, feel free to make me an offer if you so wish.

I can take more pictures, though what of?!
#6
send me more pics off everything and what i wouold like to c is what sort off embroidered is the salwar and how much embroidered on the dress. and what is the Dupatta like and is it raw silk or normal silk am from bham.
i would like u to tell me whats the last price u will take if i come n collect.
thanks
#7
I'll take some more pictures, sure. Before I do, let's agree a price. I've given my price. If you can collect, then I will accept £35 for both suits, all in.

If you are ok with that price, I can take more pictures. However, I don't want cash on collection - I would like you to pay first online (BT preferably) and when you want to collect, you can. Same as normal pay and post. I have high feedback so that's not a problem. Just to make sure that I'm not left waiting for hours and days! We can arrange a time and date for collection, no problem with that.

Let me know on all of that before I spend the time taking more photos.

Thanks, hope we can get this sorted :-) I'll help you as much as I can, I'm flexible in negotiations.
#8
By the way, the kameezes are heavily embroidered as is the dupatta. The salwar doesn't have embroidery (normal) but the suits are very well embroidered.
#9
i can only give 25 and i sort the pay out n collect off u.iv got 2 go now b bak in 10mins
#10
Sorry, £25 is too low. I was initially looking for £45, then £35, £25 is too low, I'm better off keeping them. Especially as it's cash on collection which means I'd have to wait at home for you to arrive.

Tell you what, meet you in the middle at £30. I can't go any lower than that I'm afraid. Let me know, I can't go any lower than that, I've dropped my price a lot already. You know as well as I do that these are ridiculously expensive in shops, about £50 each.
#11
i tell u what il give u 30 n il collect tomorw
#12
Ok, that's fine with me, PM sent.
#13
Buyer collected today and paid, thank you!
#14
I have a problem. I listed this item as "approximately 2m" - not exactly. Today, the buyer came to my house to collect. I allowed him to fully check the items, even measure if he so wished. He didn't. He then went home and told me it wasn't 2m, it was 1.5m.

Now, I didn't say it was 2m, I said it was approximately. If I had said 5m and it was 1m then yes, that is miles off. This was an estimate, and not too far away either.

In addition, I have now offered him a full £30 refund via text message and he is insulting me with religious threats. I would like HUKD to step in here.

Thanks.
#15
HUKD wont step in mate, i think you should stand your ground because he had a chance to view the item before he took it home and didnt complain then.
#16
Salams

Funny how people cant say this face to face. Dont refund bro.
#17
You know what, he came to my house, viewed, and bought. He even then bought a third thing! The third thing was £20 but I let him have it for £15 as he bought two others.

He then moaned in the evening and then said "just give me £5 and it's quits" - if the material is not enough then how would a fiver help?! He is just looking for more discount!!

I offered him a refund of £30 and said I would have to then charge £20 for the other item (this is nothing to do with HUKD) so the net refund would be £30 and then he asked for a full refund and a refund of postage costs to which I said no, I won't refund postage for him to return!

I can't believe how he even had the chance to VIEW the item. Even his wife came, opened the bag, checked it out. For all I cared, he could've pulled out a ruler.

I never said the item was 2 metres, I approximated. He had the chance to verify it and again, 0.5m is not much but then again, I know nothing about clothes.

Bottom line is, I offered a full refund (less the money for the item outside of HUKD) and he called me a skank. He is being rude, argumentative and becoming religiously abusive. Actually, not even becoming. He has basically gone into detail about me going to hell.

Guys like him disgrace HUKD imo.
#18
Wassalam,

MB, he's actually telling me how Allah is watching and that sort of stuff, he is being a disgrace!

You know what, I actually even agreed to refund him the full £30 and even offered him the £5 he was begging for.

I wasn't cheating him, my estimate just isn't as accurate as a ruler. I didn't even refuse the cash on collection that he was insistent on.

In fact, he told me he would come at 11am, then 4pm, then 5, then 6, and he came at 7! And I made sure I was home!!

He had the chance to check the item entirely and decided not to. He has made me sick to my stomach.
#19
leave the appropriate feedback to warn others
#20
Yep, am doing that now.

Edit: Done.

Thats a classic way of trying to make people guilty. Dont give into to it.
#22
Yeah he's still being offensive because I said that most people deal with these things professionally and politely whilst a muslim with a beard resorts to threats and insults. This is all after he called me a skank and was being really rude.

I have yet again offered him the fiver just to shut him up and he is still being rude and insulting.

I still fail to understand how this fiver would make the suits grow an extra 500cm each!

I do all the time, u say it for yourself anyway and not to tell others that u say it, same as namaz
#25
hey just read this are u the op and the buyer both muslim?
#26
Av1985 he dont have a leg to stand on you gave a rough idea of the length, he then viewed the item liked the item enough to pay for it etc so dont offer him no refund of any sort and if the texts dont stop report it to the police/network
#27
muffin, yeah we are both muslim. And in my opinion, the fact that he is resorting to religious slurs is outrageous. He's a disgrace.

blineboy, have no idea what you just said!

Thanks for the support guys, I feel better about this entire thing now.

av1985 was it not u who said to me dont come now because am not gona be home and i asked what time will u be at home? and u said after 4 and u rang me to say come over now.
if u did not want collection u should have said
which u did u had a choice did u not?
on top off that we agreed the price for the 2 materails which i have had a dispute with the other one we brought at your house did your wife not say £20 and u said sumthing to her because u wanted more money?
then my wife said would u take £15 and she agreed so i dont no why u are even moaning about this.
i did not want people to no how u have done business with me i was just gona stay quiet.
but it looks like u have tried to turn the table on me.
it was u first who said u will sort it out in akirat and was it not you who brought the topic off religion in to the talk? so like i said yesterday bro and then i told u bro i have notting to say anymore to you i will let allah be the judge off it and on the day off keyamat EVERY ONE will no the truth.
so the last thing i am gona say is you do what u have to do insallah i will get my reward for the sabar i will be doing.jazallah

**I'll just shutup :p**

Errr.

If you look back in my original posts, I said I'd want you to pay first if you were going to collect, which you refused to do. I spoke to you the day before and I said I was going out at 11.30 and come round at 11. You didn't even ring me, I rang you to ask what time you'd be coming and you said you weren't free then.

I then rang you at 3.30 to say I was home. You said you'd be here by 4. Then I rang at 4.20 and you said you hadn't left and would be there by 5. Then you rang at 6 to say you were just about to leave... and so forth.

Yes, for the third suit, my wife said £20. You then asked if we would take £15 and my wife said yes. It's common sense, we were willing to drop the price as you'd already bought two. If you want to return those two, fine, but the third dress was only given as £15 because of the loyalty factor, it's common sense in business.

Turned the tables? Sure. I'm a trusted trader at HUKD. 15 positive feedback, 600 rep, over 1000 posts. An eBay feedback of over 250, 100% positive.

You were the first one to be insulting and call me a skank. Keep religiously blackmailing me if you want.

Answer me one question - if the materials were so short, then how would a £5 compensation make them longer? Oh wait, no, it wouldn't, you were just scrounging for pennies.

In fact, you said to me that "oh well you won't give me a refund anyway" to which I said "why don't you try asking me first". I told you you were being rude, which you are. I was trying to rationally help you. I offered you the full refund for the two or three suits but don't expect me to front your postage cost!

And finally, the common sense factor - you actually came over and took the items out of the bag and viewed them. You had all the time in the world to check them, even to measure them. If you'd said then that the material was too short, fine. But you didn't. My approximation was just an approximation, and it was close. If I'd said 5m and sold 1m, then yes, fine. But 2m and 1.5m, close in numerical value.

And once again, the common sense factor, you had the chance to view. If you didn't, that is your problem. That is business. I have done nothing wrong, going as far as to offer you £5 compensation and a refund, and your response that we will deal with it in the hereafter. Yeah, it really looks like you're dealing with this rationally. You're just a money scrounger with no morals.

Brother u carry on and say what u want i told u am not gona say anything else ALLAH nos best so like i said before we will sort it out there.
And if i was gona cry over £5 i would not have comed over to pick it up as it cost me more.
and i only asked if i could collect and u did not say no. which like before you could have said no.
And yes i did say i was gona ring u before i was gona leave i was not leaving and u wanted me to come over before 1130 which i could not do. then it was u who said 6pm i said just tex me and il let you no if it is ok.
I have 1 question for you when i said to make up the difrence off a meter if u could refund me £5 we could call it quits but u just refused saying thts could not happend but then in the end after u started to talk bout beard and religion i said its ok we will sort it in akirat u said ok il give u £5 back so as soon akirat was mention u changed your tone.and like i said before brother allah nos best.
and like i said to u lastnight just forget about it u keep your money and i will keep the material.
u can put where more you want on this thread as am not gonna reply if like u say YOU have done notting Wrong you have notting to worry about.
#32
Fine by me.

I have already said in the thread what i said about religion and beard, I stand by it, you did not act like someone who should considering your religion and beard.

Also, you still haven't answered the question - how would the fiver had been enough to make the material bigger?
#33
Quite a show you brothers are making here, as seller had agreed to give you a refund why not take it and return the items and have your cash back instead of making arguments? very petty of you adam786.
#34
the fiver would not have made the material bigger then what it was but would have compensate for the less off one meter which was short in total.but like i said i dont want ur money i dont want anything to do with u anymore.
#35
And bro mo786 its not petty when it was asked in the 1st place for the fiver av1985 refuesed so like i said to him il keep the materials and just leave it there.
thats the end off the matter becz i dont have time for this.
so am saying again in thread i dont want anything off av1985 on my behalf the matter is close.
