FS: Wii with WiiKey and VC games £245.00

I'm selling due to not using it much; I've barely played any of the Virtual Console games and other than being able to play Super Mario Galaxy a few weeks early I haven't used the WiiKey much either. The only thing 'wrong' is it has a duplicate weather channel; I shoved this on the last channel page (it makes no difference to the Wii, it works perfectly).

Anyway, pictures:

http://img364.imageshack.us/img364/7947/wii3ou8.jpg

VC games:
ActRaiser (SNES)
Ristar (MegaDrive)
Streets of Rage (MD)
Sword of Vermillion (MD)
Dragons Curse (TurboGFX)
The Story of Thor (MD)
Zelda 1 (NES)
Zelda: aLttP (SNES)
Zelda: OoT (N64)
Sonic 1 (MD)
Super Mario Bros (NES)
Super Mario World (SNES)
Paper Mario (N64)

All the VC games were bought with Wii Points, so there aren't any CC details on the console (so they're all included).

I'll include a tri-wing screw-driver too, so if you ever need to open the Wii up you can.

£160 for the console
£20 for the Wiikey
£2 for each NES game (normally £3.50)
£4.50 for each SNES/Megadrive/TurboGFX game (Normally £6)
£5.50 for each N64 game (normally £7)

Total: £245 Delivered.

I've also got a copy of Nights into Dreams (Saturn) for sale.
Condition: The box is a bit tatty and the disc has a few marks.
£7.50 inc P+P.

Feedback:
100, 100% Positive on eBay - hiebiejiebie
60, 100%, Positive on GamesRadar - Akai XIII

Would consider part exchanges for the following things:
Bully (360)
Xbox 360 Microsoft Points (for the Legendary Map Packs)
Wii Console (I don't use the VC games or WiiKey)
Buffy Complete DVD Series
Conker: Live and Reloaded (XBX)
PS2 Console (Slim/Fat, I don't care)

It's inside the console, that was just a price break down to explain the pricing.
#5

#6

No thanks - I can get the newest model from Amazon for £90, new.

If you've already got a Wii I'd consider part exchanging it for that + cash/games/other stuff.

Have a slim ps2 with a screen and a load of games and other extras in excellent condition that i'd be happy to offer in p/e.
#10
I have a UK pal wii - standard as standard can be - that id be ijnterested in part exchanging? I have loads of feedback on other forums, most noticably avfourms, same username

I would value your set at a little less though tbh, the VC games dont really interest me (i still have a snes, saturn, N64 and DC hooked up to my TV!)

and just to add to that I also have the following that can be potentially mixed-and-matched:
£105 argos vouchers (being used towards purchase of wii otherwise)
BNIB Crimson DS
TTDS
4GB Micro SD
Rumble pack for DS

You would, because you have the systems - I've taken £1.50 off of each VC game, which I think is fair.

Having said that, if you'd like to make an offer you're more than welcome.

...And out of those, what would you offer? I've got two black DS Lites, so I don't really need a third. I'd be interested in the PS2 (not the screen or games (depending on what they are, obviously) TTDS, 4GB Pro Duo, Rumble and Argos Vouchers...

So, from that lot, what would you do?

Before i consider a swap, where are you based and how old is the wii? the games I have btw are:

GTA: Vice City
Transformers
Sonic Mega Collection
GTA III
Riding spirits
The incredibles
Brave: the search for...
PJ's King K0ng
London racer: world challenge
Spider-Man 2
Scooby Doo! Night of 1000 frights
Sims: Bustin Out
Also have the singstar mics etc and a dancemat boxed with all accessories, and I think there are at least a couple more games but need to look for them later.

There aren't any CEXs near here and I've already got the HD-DVD drive.

I'm based in Bungay, Suffolk (about 18 miles away from Norwich). The Wii is a launch console (barely played though). Not interested in any of the games, sorry (but still interested in the console).

I'll skip this one then. Thanks anyway.

Is there? Great! :D Might just keep it and remove the chip then.
#23
Duplicate channel removed, thanks boza, rep added.

can i ask why did it annoy you so much?
#25
It was just an annoyance - a sign of modification. If I removed the chip it would've still been there, so I thought I'd cut my losses and jump over to a standard Wii (besides, as said, I didn't use the VC games). I had searched for duplicate removers before, but had no luck. Now I've found one (thanks!) I'll just keep the console - lesson learnt, I wont be buying mod chips for 'current gen' systems.

So, anyone want to buy a WiiKey?

Is it one that I can add using one of those new clips? Don't fancy soldering - in fact I wouldn't know how. And will it work with a new wii I intend to buy shortly from Argos (i.e. latest version)? And how much do you want for it?

I haven't kept up to date with Wii chips, so I wouldn't know. I know that newer Wiis have a different board layout though, so it probably wouldn't fit a newer model. The WiiKey is pretty easy to solder though - you place it on the board (it'll fit in a specific place on the MB) and then just bridge the connections with a bit of solder.

Price for the WiiKey - £20, inc P+P and setup disc.
#29
hmm, ok. Doesn't sound promising. I'll be better off getting one I know will work. Thanks.
#30
is there no way of removing the VC games? ive got a unchipped wii, id be happy to pay 20 quid on top of mine to trade for the modified one, but i dont really need te VC games and youd probably want to keep them?

The Wii (console) is no longer for sale - if you want to buy the Wiikey it's £20 or I'd trade it for Mario Kart Wii.

...And no, there's no way of transferring VC games - they're locked to the consoles serial number.
#32
how did you remove the wiikey, isnt it soldered to the board?

and am i right in thinking i need the same board as you for it to work? (early one/)
#33
I'll get the WiiKey removed by the person that installed it (highly skilled at soldering). When they installed it they said it'd be easy enough to remove, if I wanted it to be. They used wires for most of the points.

The only model it won't work with is the D2C Wii.

You can find out the MB revision here:

#34
wont it cost more to have it desoldered than buying a new wiikey?
#35
Huh? The person taking it out is a friend, they'll do it for free.
#36
ah ok, thought u might have to pay, i wouldnt mind a wiikey but my wii has the wires cut, so dont think it would work and i dont have a clue how to install :(

Update: WiiKey was removed today, very tidy. As it has been removed it's now for sale on its own for £20. I'd be interested in trades for Wii, 360 and possibly PS3 games.

Isn't that a bit pricey for a used Wiikey?
Most places sell them below £20 (example), or a clone for practically nowt.

Even the more 'modern' chips like the Wasabi, argon or D2Pro arent much more than that new.

Not knocking anyone that wants it though I suppose. It looks like its still in good condition.
