FS: WORKING PC components - Motherboard, AMD Athlon Processor, 2gb RAM and SATA PCI Card £80.00

I am selling this old motherboard with components from my old PC. It works perfectly, I'm only selling since I upgraded to a Phenom X4 955 over the weekend.

Everything works perfectly, it's just come out from my PC so I know it's fine.

The parts are:

Motherboard - ASUS M2N-MX SE
Processor - AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ (2ghz)
RAM - 1gb PC2-6400 DDR x2 (dual channel so 2gb)
PCI - VIA Sata Card (for an extra two SATA ports)

Extra:
- Motherboard comes with backplate, an IDE cable and two SATA cables.
- Processor comes with fan and heatsink.

Again, if you are building a computer and you want a good spec (not top) then this is a perfect set of components as the three main things that you need are already installed! All you need to do is screw it in and add in the HDD, case, media drive, PSU and you're away!

Couldn't really find price comparisons for these items so used eBay:

- Motherboard = £56.71
- Motherboard Backplate = £7.74
- Processor = £36

So I guess in total, on eBay, it's looking to be around the £100 mark. That doesn't include the SATA card or the heatsink/fan.

As a result, I think a fair price for the entire lot, fitted as it is, considering that this is all used including collect+ or recorded delivery is £75.

Open to reasonable offers.

Big edit:

In the original post, I forgot to include the price of the RAM! Mymemory has this ValueRam at £12.98 each so I'll have both RAMs down for £20! Forgot to add this before, sorry!
- AV1985

As it has been highlighted, the motherboard is (whilst not in stock) RRPed at closer to £37 (plus p&p) so I've changed my value of it to £40 rather, and thus reduced my overall price by £15.

Collect+ or second class recorded delivery included. BT preferred.

how much for the sata card

To be honest, the SATA card is clearly the cheapest component there so I would prefer to sell together first. If it doesn't go, then I can sell it separately. I guess a fiver or so though plus postage.

is that motherboard laying directly on the carpet?

No, I've got the bag thingy (anti static?) underneath it, just can't see it. Hid it because light was reflecting off of it in the picture.

I just phoned them (to find postage cost) and they said that this motherboard is no longer in stock or for sale by them. Nonetheless, point taken and thus I will accept less as a result.

After postage, that'll leave me with about 50p!! Not really worth it. I would stretch to £4 delivered, assuming it doesn't go as the bundle.

£50 is a bit low really, as I've valued it at over £70. I would really want £60, but more than that, I really would like to sell the 2gb RAM and SATA card too so can I see if anyone wants the bundle before I get back to you? Alternatively, I'll do the whole lot for £75, that is 2gb RAM on top of your original offer!

If that's ok, can post today.

~£35 for the mobo, brand new. Whilst out of stock, price still relevant. That would include the backplate aswell, as it's obviously.. new.

CPU would be between £5/10 second hand.

So, considering its second hand / used... for mobo&cpu should be around £25/30
If the ram is £13 brand new.. would of thought it would sell for around half that.

All depends how much, truthfully, it's been in use for.

To be totally honest, I would pay more than around £40 for the whole lot.
#15
Tronic could I now ask that unless either:

a) You can link to one of my components cheaper elsewhere and thus I can drop price,

or

b) You are interested in a purchase,

that you do not post in this thread. You are not being helpful at all, first linking to a place which doesn't even sell the item any more and then quoting cEx (and we all know their stock and money paying out issues!) without a link.

Appreciated.

Items still for sale.

I have reduced the price of the motherboard accordingly. Where can you find this processor £5/£10?! Considering it's a dual core, I don't think that's quite right!

If the RAM comes to £26 brand new, then £20 new seems fair to me.

As to how long it's been used, about 18 months.

Wouldn't be willing to part with the whole lot for £40, bit low.

Can you check with them that that includes heatsink and fan? And whether they actually have any in stock. Thanks.

Had a look at multiple sources of second hand CPU's. That certain processor averages 5/10£. You said you'd looked on eBay. If you had, you'd have seen that sort of price for yourself. You can't look at BIN prices either, as they give a false representation of value.

You can try and sell it for that much, but personally it's not worth it.

I also wouldn't pay £6 less than retail for Year and a half old ram.

£40 would be a more accurate representation of the bundles value. But obviously its your item and if you can get more, then fair enough. Maybe stretch to £50. But no more than that.

That wasn't the question, nor was it directed at you.

Without the RAM, I'd accept £55, if only to cover my postage costs as the bulk of the postage is the mobo. With the RAM and the SATA card, I'd accept £70 all in and could post it out tomorrow.

I've checked through the rest of the thread and all my posts are responses to questions, so this is bump 1

Ok no problem. I'm finding that a bit low considering the value of the stuff mentioned previously. Plus postage will be about a fiver. If I can't get anywhere near an accurate value here, I'll go to gumtree. I would accept £53.99 for the modo and CPU though since I could use collect+ postage at £3.99, and could then sell the RAM separately. If that's of any interest, it's yours.
