I have for sale my well looked after Yamaha DSP-A2 amp.

It's been well looked after but does have a few minor cosmetic marks.

In today's world you would need to spend in excess of £1500 to get a similar sound.

It's only available as I have recently pirchased it's bigger brother.

If you don't know what this is then quite simply this, together with the right set of speakers, will produce top class 5.1 AV sound. I have run it with Tannoy Arena's but it is also well matched with some Tannoy SFX's.

It does not have HDMI connections, and that is what could be a show stopper for some. It does not decode DTS HD (it does DTS).

Quite simply if you are looking for quality, then this is the way to go.

I have the manual and the remote. All in perfect working order.

The buyer (if there is one), will need to collect (although I can arrange shipping at customer's cost). However it is really heavy.

All setting are as first received so I would just say plug in and play ( i am willing to assist anyone who needs aftersales help on setting it up).

A complete joy to listen to, and will blow away any system on the market today that retails below £1500.00

Shipping/Payment:
I require payment via Paypal. I think collection is sensible, but at the buyer's cost it can be shipped.

If you want to look at the manual to see it's specs look here

Dowload pdf and look at page 5

You will also get a small insight into what this machine can do. It is so user editable

I have a pair of powered speakers and a normal pair of speakers. Can you tell me if the amp has a variable out that I can connect speakers to for fronts and my normal pair to the rears?

Each channel has a pre out so you would connect powered speakers that way. Then connect rears in normal fashion. Centre speaker as you please.

However, I must say that I have tried mixing/matching with expensive ProAc speakers as fronts, KEF centre speaker/rear speaker and REL Sub woofer. Top class equipment, but I gave it all up for Tannoy SFX system. They are small, most importantly balanced, and produce a sound far far superior to the bose system that costs 3 time the price. You looking at £250 new for the speakers, so for £400 you would have a real top end system. I mean it would blow out of the water all the 'fantastic' Onkyo deals posted here.

The trade off is no processing of DTS HD audio, but if you do your research you will find that there are a real small amount of DTS HD discs that produce a better sound than the normal DTS anyway. Also no neat HDMI connection.

If you look on ebay you will find sfx's being sold all the time. You need 4 speakers, 1 centre and the sub woofer in the package.

Hope this helps.
