I have a Sandisk 8GB SDHC card which wont work in an old school media player, want to swap for any branded 8GB SD card. The Sandisk card is brand new and only loaded with music and tested. It otherwise works fine, it just on the media player I bought it for does not seem to accept SDHC cards.

Don't think such a thing exists!

Prognog is correct, 'normal' SD cards don't go to that size, they have a max of 4GB at most iirc.

Thanks folks.:(

Willing to consider swapping for 4gb SD, if anyone has.

What speed is it - might swap you for 2 x 4GB if you like.

or it should have a little number inside a circle on the disc - a 2, 4 or 6.
#7
Its got a 4 on the card.

Right will have a look at what cards I have and get back to you - might be the morning though, so if someone else comes along before me, go with them.

This is indeed correct.... but a word of warning, most 4GB cards will likely be SDHC.

As above, I think my 4GB cards are SDHC. Do you want to consider 2GB cards or are they too small?
#11
Will give the 2gb cards a miss.

I'll swap for a usb flash drive, if anyone is willing?

I'd stick with 2GB for SD cards, while 4GB SD cards exist that aren't SDHC their compatibility is very poor.

I'm happy to take 2gb SD cards for this now.
