Helped with the Asrock ALive NF5SLi-1394 motherboard AM2. Speakers are CREATIVE I-TRIGUE 2200 2.0 SPEAKER SYSTEM , screen is a Samsung 2032BW Syncmaster 20" wide format TFT screen (2 ms) All in working order a few marks on the pc case and speakers. So's Vista actually, Any windows only recognises 3.25GB's of RAM unless you buy XP 64-bit or Vista 64-bit

BARGAIN for what you're getting ! The monitor I'm sure is already ~£150, GFX card is is like ~£90, 4GB RAM and a terabyte hard drive... If only I needed a new PC I'd have snapped this up already considering it's also with a beasty monitor.

One thing you might have forgotten... CPU ? Either I've missed it in your description or you just forgot to put one, but I'm guessing you're running atleast a C2D on it

Maybe some other questions on behalf of everyone:

1) How old is the PC ?
2) Did you build it yourself ? Or did you get a retailer to custom build one for you ?
3) If you did build it yourself - Do you have receipts for the individual parts for warantee (if there is any left) ?
4) Anything overclocked ?

However, all the best in the sale, good luck :D

argh man if you can post :(
v.interested if you do, or even if you split :D
banned#10
cpu?
will you split?
#11
Going by the AMD heatsink then i'm guessing this is a AMD CPU :p
#12
D'oh yeh, AM2 motherboard... :p
#13
Thanks eNxy for the pointers

1) How old is the PC ? The pc inside are about 6 months old the case is about 4 years old.
2) Did you build it yourself ? Or did you get a retailer to custom build one for you ? Built it myself
3) If you did build it yourself - Do you have receipts for the individual parts for warantee (if there is any left) ? No receipts as most of the parts were brought as new on ebay.
4) Anything overclocked ? Never overclocked

The Cpu I did miss out however its a AMD Athlon phenom quad core 9500 2.21ghz.. Don't really want to split but may do if it does not sell as one. ramiuk1 your right I have still got a stock cooler on my fan and have no overheating problems at all!
#14
hey Mr Dance, would you sell the monitor seperate?
#15
how much for the tower only m8?

yus786
#16
Bargain price! stick to ya guns m8 and sell this as a whole!
#17
wow this is a kick ass PC,similar to mine so i dont need but its a sweet machine at a bargain decent price

Thanks for the extra information, will probably save the repetitive questions on here

Would just like to say it is a bargain price (as everyone on here has said) and stick to the price - no doubt people will haggle but don't let them get to you too much because buying the parts now and building it would be considerably more than £450 !

Maybe you can have an extra option for the buyer to arrange their own delivery at their own expense, and of course their own risk incase anything else is damaged on arrival? It's just collection seems to be quite rare on here as people live absolutely everywhere ! :p

But I will stop spamming your thread now and let the buyers make up their mind (B A R G A I N) :p

Good luck
#19
Well thats good info eNxy thanks I have no boxes to put this stuff in, but will try and gather some.

Ok for people intrested will arrange to post it at £450 as long as you arrange dilevery at your own expense.

If I can sell it as a whole no but I'll give a week or 2 and see what happens, if it don't sell then I may split.

True, the RAM cap is a 32bit OS limitation, not an XP limitation, so you're capped at 3.25gb of RAM whether you're using 32bit XP or Vista. 64bit XP or Vista will see and use all of your RAM (I have 8gb 8-)) so as long as the buyer installs a 64bit OS they'll be making use of the RAM.

Good luck with your sale - I've just built a new PC of a very similar spec and am trying to sell my old components. I've listed the parts on here but there's been little interest yet so I think I'll try selling it as a whole.
#23
Mate I am interested in the HD and I am willing to buy it or give you a Western Digital hard drive of a smaller capacity plus cash your way? The drive you have shown is more of a data drive than an OS Drive, the drives I have would be better OS drives for the system too, let me know if you are interested in selling or trading, thanks :D
#24
just built a pc with near same specs without the 1TB hard drive or the monitor for 430 quid. so i would say this is a good deal!
#25
If this is with the monitor it is a real bargain, I wouldnt say it is a bargain if without the monitor though.
#26
How much for the monitor alone?

tbh i am interested, but I cant seem to bring myself to buy the whole lot for two reasons. Im interested in about half or so of the bits and pieces due to preference (though I can live with the others)... and the fact that ive never arranged delivery before and the unfamiliarity deters me :(.
#29
Does anybody know how much a desktop and monitor weighs? If anybody does let us know please and then I can work out delivery using one of those couriers that collect thanks
#30
Firstly I've known that Parcel2go seem to be the cheapest... however cheapest normally mean damaged items ! But if you wrap it with enough bubble wrap they can probably play football with it and it'll still arrive safely :p.

It's very hard to say how much a desktop weighs, obviously a desktop like yours will probably range up to and around 15kg at a rough guess ? Probably due to the heatsink, PSU and the sturdy case, but as I said it's virtually impossible to tell how heavy your PC tower is unless you just plonk it on some scales - Maybe try your household scales, might support it. (I sort of plucked 15kg from the air... if it's near that, it was a lucky guess !!)

As for your Samsung 2032BW monitor, a simple googling tells your that it's 4.8kg (4.75kg to be exact).

Hope this helps :p
#31
Thanks

I really want the monitor. Does anyone want to pay £340 for the base unit? I will buy the monitor for £110 plus postage.

I will happily buy the whole lot then re-sell the base unit...
#33

Try these for postage.

I have used them 3 times and each time was a late pickup, between 3-5pm, next day delivery was on each item although I chose their cheapest option.

I live in the North East and each time it was a private courier, (or so it looked that way) so I imagine these will take care of their parcels otherwise they will get not get anymore contracts so I personally think this could be a great idea.

Very cheap and seem reliable enough.

oh man, looks like its all been decided already :( (bazzaric for the monitor and yus786 for the base)
Feels distinctly familiar from somewhere...
Oh well, I still ain't fully confident to take the strike anyway due to no idea on how to organise a post properly, so if the deal is done before I finally decide to do something, then good for you 3.
