They asked the Mrs to provide proof of purchase in order to make a claim, which she couldn't. This could all of been a cunning plan by the Mrs as she was more than happy to fork out for the new pink ones!

tried changing the fuse?

cant believe they have such poor customer service!

Thats harsh that they are demanding the proof of purchase, the MK4's were released in september 2007, meaning regardless when you bought them they are still in the 24mth warranty period. Unless you have some kind of time machine you are failing to declare????

Embarrasingly only since posting this, still no luck though. GHD offered to do a chargeable repair, the GF opted for new ones. Didn't get a quote from them as never sent them to them.

bad service really-my daughters were a gift so no pop-i didnt even think you would need it!

Only saving grace would be if you filled out the warranty registration card, my Dad bought some for my sister, didn't have POP, hers went faulty, he called them up, they had his details and then exchanged for a new pair, no questions asked!
#12
I could give you £10 for them
#13
m8 did she ever register her GHD'S or better still does she no exactly where she got them, as if it was direct from a salon they can send them back for repair for her (missus is a hairdresser and above was what her boss told her)
#14
claim they were a gift... so you didn't actually purchase them... and seeing as they were only released last year they are within the warranty / guarantee thing. :)

I have received the faulty straighteners but when i tried to get them repaired i was told they are counterfeit and of no use for spares or repair. GHD website or customer services would have told you as such as they have no identification number on the hologram. I am a little dissapointed as they were sold as spares or repairs yet fakes are of no use for either

I'm not surprised their customer support turned the GHD's down even though it was under 24 months warranty.

The hologram is a best check for them being original.

I honestly feel for you, how can someone go round selling fakes :(
banned#23
You really expected them to be genuine for £10, even faulty ones, from reading this thread even before your post pk it was pretty obvios they where counterfeit

and envyart it is up to the buyer to have left the feedback for this item, not you
#24
How can someone else leave me negative feedback for this?

The buyer has e-mailed me following their post by PM, I have replied and offered a full refund, below is my message:

I'm puzzled to hear this, as I still have the box they came in, as far as I am aware she never took these in to GHD and just rushed out to buy the pink ones she wanted.

I didn't particularly want to make any money from these, it just seemed a waste to bin, if you send them back I will refund your money right away.

Thanks

Andi

unfortunately andimccann you dont have to have purchased an item to leave feedback, only need to have posted in the thread, pm a mod and ask them to remove
#26
So I can leave Envyart feedback in everyone of their future threads so long as I post in it?

It doesn't seem fair.

yes you could, and no it isnt fair, but most wouldnt abuse it:thumbsup:

Last week a troll signed up and left a member 15 or so negs, just for the hell of it, i did report it and they where removed, propably without the member even knowing

i personally would use the report button in your first post and say this person has not purchased off you yet has left you neg feedback and ask for it to be removed, it then gets seen by all mods:thumbsup:

How was it obvious they were counterfeit? Can you actually read as i see no where does it say they are fake And broken GHDs go for around a tenner on ebay.
#31
what a shame about this thread.

i'm questioning andimccann, why exactly would you sell without the original box, if you claim you still have the box? I think you are lying.
#32
Isn't it quite a clear cut, simple case? Rules state conterfeits not allowed firstly, so buyer is right to assume genuine, secondly, no mention of "fakes so can't get repaired" but a story of "no proof of purchase". I can't see how pinkkitty2007 could ever be at fault in this case?

if this is £20 delivered, i'll take em. Do they come with box? If not, i'll give you £15 :-)

THanks!

Lol i bought them and they are fakes and broken so of no use to anyone

No i cant either really but some people seem to be on a mission to be difficult

I hope, therefore, that reason prevails :)

Not that it is any of your business, the box is sitting in my offices still, the biggest jiffy bag I had wouldn't fit the box in it,but it would less the box.

If you would like me to send you the box, you can pay P&P and if you can tell me you think the box is a fake you must applaud your intelligence as far more superior than mine who listed these and the buyer who received these and sent them to GHD without noticing them were fake.

My girlfriend wanted pink ones, or I may have pursued GHD myself, however an e-mail from them which I still have asked me for POP which I didn't have.

I sold these for £10.00, £9.43 after PayPal fees, less postage and packaging comes to less than £4.00. If I was going to go into business selling fakes I would hope to make more than that!

OK after buying fake Ghds before , i can honestly say u can not tell the difference on the higher end models fakes ( the rubbish fakes are easy 2 spot) .

http://tubeimage.com/files/iigh62h8zp7j7ggnuj36_thumb.jpg

have a look at the above picture , these i can get for £20 a pair , ebay is scatterd with them and sell for £100+ !

these latest ones are identical , only things that dont match are the serial number checker when u check them on GHDHAIR website , so before u purchase check the label !

anyone who buys ghd's form anywhere other than a reputable site would ask for the serial number to check, to me i thought it was obvious, obviously to you it wasnt, no need to make this into something other than me having an opinion:roll:

And to the op, im glad you got your feedback sorted
