failed on 7 minor points, its just the labour that takes time, anyway failure points are:-
front tyre tread
rear tyre tread
rear brake disc
front brake reserve
rear brake reserve
shock absorber seal (costs about £12)
rear brake light

I drive this vehicle everyday have owned for 5 years now.

I cant afford to do it so will have sell.

£15 in the tank does about 120 miles

52000 miles on the clock.

Any questions please ask.

On auto trader cheapest is a 2004 model selling for £2750, so I guess mine would be worth £1800-£2000 and as for MOT failure hence cheap price.

it was done at a suzuki garage and he said his firm doesnt repair honda scooters.

but i guess it could be around £300-£400 at a garage, bearing in mind £50 a hour labour and the tyres i guess are £80 each.

whats wrong with the brake reserves?
and if the seals gone on the shock its usually time to get a new one

certificate says front brake lever has inadequate reserve travel

the guy at the garage said seals are about £10 but it takes 1 and a half hours to fit.

bleeding the brakes would possible sort that out unless they are weeping
Pair of shocks £300 or £50-100 secondhand from a breaker
£100 for a pair of tyres
Cheapest new disc i can find is £121 from ebc website oO
a bulb 50p

mileage is high but as an older one went for £1270 with no MOT and double that mileage it looks a bargain to me 130530360782

doh, why didn't you say it was the front fork in the first place instead of saying its the shock absorber which is always the term used for the rear :p
Yeah that seals about a £10, just changing it will be ok as long as the stanchion isn't worn or pitted, if it is the seal will go again withing a few miles

as I said the engineer said new shocks are not needed just a seal will fix it, thanks for the above info anyway.

it had done 47000 miles 5 years ago, i only 1000 miles a year, guy before me was doing 12000 miles a year

1270, blimey, might have to stick it on the bay

Its the front shock not the rear
