I want to buy a 60GB backwards compatible version. When I bought it I thought it was going to be backwards compatible so first i sold my PS2 and then later found out to my annoyance its PS3 only.

My PS3 is in mint condition I have played and finished a few third person games. It hasnt been thrashed its been looked after like all of my other stuff.

Got a few games.

LBP
Mirrors Edge
Metal Gear Solid 4
Dead Space
Call of Duty 4 (GOTY edition) I havent really played cod4 much, still got the 4 map codes that came with it. I'm rubbish at multi-player.

All games are mint with manuals

Price with and without games

Cheers

Still got the box and manuals and receipts PS3 is about 9 months old

Is it really worth selling your 40gb model over? The 60gb model doesn't have full compatibility, a lot of games still won't work on it and lot of them will have problems with graphics, sounds or other problems. It may not be as pretty, but it'd be far cheaper and more compatible to just buy a old slimline ps2.

The 40gb model is also quieter and runs cooler then the 60gb model.

+1

plus a PS2 uses far less power than a 60GB ps3.

My 60gb had loads of problems playing many ps2 games.

Can't say I've ever had a problem playing a wide variety of PS2 games on my 60GB PS3, and to be honest I can't speak highly enough of the console in general*. But even given that I do agree with the two above posters about it being more cost effective to pick up a second hand PS2. Providing you've got a spare power point for the plug I assume you'll have a spare Scart input on your TV, so you won't be inconvenienced by it.

*Can't say I've ever really had an issue with the noise either. Then again I do own a 360 as well. You're not going to be bothered by the sound of cars driving past your house if you also have planes flying overhead, are you?

it wasnt so much that they didnt work completely, its just they were glitchy and sometimes crashed. Over a year ago now, so cant recall which ones were worst. I recall Gran turismo had loads of problems
