Looking to sell my old workstation PC I've heavily upgraded from the factory specification. The Xeon CPU is essentially a Core 2 Quad 2.4GHz, rivaling some Core i3s today. I have also installed 8GB RAM and a AMD 5450 2GB low-profile fanless card, and two Seagate 7200.12 250GB SATA HDDs.

The RAM and HDDs are both genuine HP replacement parts.

I have installed Windows 10 Pro x64 onto one 250GB HDD using the included Windows 7 Pro COA. The other HDD would be good for dual-booting another OS. This PC is in theory 100% supported by OSX if you fancied doing a hackintosh but I can't obviously guarantee or support you with this :P - it's running OSX fine now off the second HDD but I'll have to wipe this as hackintoshes aren't allowed for sale here.

I am looking for £129.99 bearing in mind I have put a lot of money into upgrades, however will consider sensible offers. I also have a 19" Lenovo ThinkVision monitor (no stand) and brand new generic keyboard I can include if this sells for asking.

PC is also listed on eBay (as a bundle hence much higher price) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152386020990 and will be on reddit.

http://imgur.com/a/m9vEK for pictures, please note the pictured monitor is not included, and all sticker marks have now been removed
Shipping/Payment:
PayPal is fine, happy with Goods / Services. Otherwise I can do a £10 discount if you pay with Bank Transfer (unable to withdraw PayPal due to age).

Postage will be ParcelForce 24hr

Leatherhead, Surrey, but I'd have to post. If you're happy with myHermes or similar I can drop price by £10.

Sorry for the dumb question but always wondered what servers are and what they are used for - I'm pretty basic when it comes to PCs, sorry for the thick question.
#4
Heh, this is a desktop PC not a server :P but with a server CPU installed which is faster than the stock desktop CPU that came with this.

http://www.teach-ict.com/technology_explained/server/server.html is a nice little site explaining things - a server could be a NAS box (network attached storage), a web server (website host), etc. This PC could be used as one but is better suited as a desktop.

Thanks for that and for pointing out the website! will have a good read of it. :)

Hey, I'll grab a picture in a sec, and I can provide 50+ trades on hardwareswapuk - most sales, and 145 eBay feedback, 10+ from sales of custom build PCs from when I used to refurbish them.

It has HDMI, DVI, and VGA - the VGA port seems to have issues (probably due to the dodgy extension cable - white text comes out blue!) but I can include a DVI to VGA adapter which works 100% fine.
(There's also DisplayPort and VGA on the motherboard itself for the integrated graphics which might be able to be used at the same time though I'm not 100% sure on that)

okay HDMI is enough, just thinking mate, would this be able to play CS:GO?, i know its not a gaming PC, but CS:GO isn't a demanding game right?

looks like it at 1280x720, bear in mind CSGO is also quite CPU reliant and this has a quad core not dual core also which should speed things up a bit.
