Humax 40" lcd tv

Not too sure whats wrong with it, left it on last summer during a hot day and got home to a black screen. Won't turn on. Possibly a dry joint but really not sure what the fault is.

Only 3 years old.
Free to collector from RG!" Bracknell

Sorry should say: Collection only from RG12

If it doesn't go off here, I might freecycle it.

ViperKeith- I've no idea whats wrong with it. We left it on last year when it was a really hot day, came home and the screen was black. The back has been opened and everything cleaned but no joy. Hubby said that it could just be a dry joint, but we don't have the time to fix it. It's sat in the shed ever since ( it's dry)

It could be a really easy fix or used for spares- If you want to give it a go you are more than welcome to collect this weekend at some point :-D

can't you just pay to get it fixed, surely it wouldn't cost that much?

My mum bought us a new tv as a joint xmas/birthday present so we've no room for this as well. I'd rather someone from here with a bit of know how gets a possibly great tv.

Edit: Thank you to whoever put the little pic up for me :)

I could offer courier collection if possible? & a couple of quid for packaging via paypal. Just a thought no harm if you say no :)
#12
I really don't want the hassle of packaging it up tbh, sorry atomicbullet :)

Hello there,

I posted a thread some while ago asking for broken electronics, I'm a student studying at Kent, this is really the kind of thing were looking for. There's a good chance we could fix it, and learn something in the process, and if its broken, there's still a hundred and one components in it we could salvage and recycle! I'm afraid i cant come and pick it up, but would very much like to extend the offer of arranging a courier collection. Regardless of whether it can be fixed or not there is a lot of goodies to be cannibalised! So, if you decide you would reconsider the courier option, you would make some geeks very happy!
Beats it getting chucked in the tip!

Many thanks
