Humax FOXSAT-HDR Freesat+ 320GB HD £100.00

Have never sold anything and didn't even know there was a buy/sell bit on here!! So, not sure how this all works but I have a Humax Freesat that I no longer use due to just buying a new house and don't want to put a dish up on it. I have the receipt which is dated 3/02/09 from Argos and cost £299 at that time. It's in perfect working order and still looks new. I'm in Glasgow area if anyone wants to know. Don't have a photo handy as I don't have a camera phone so will need to dig out the digital camera which is still packed somewhere!!

Anyone interested?

I am considering buying a freesat recorder, does your price include postage?
#2
Im also interested are you interested in any trades?
#3
I'll take at asking. Paypal/bank transfer? Does your price include postage?

PM me your details please, as per forum rules :) and let me know where to send the money.

If you could send a link to any ebay feedback that'd be great, or a picture of the goods with your username and the date on paper with the good, as per forum rules.

Also, would you entertain me paying half now, and half on receipt since you have no feedback? Just wondering if it is an option. I can show you ebay feedback too.

Thanks alot,

Will definitely take, just get back to me regarding the above please.

Matt

No I would expect buyer to pay postage Qman. I have never posted anything bigger than a watch that was for a gift so I have no idea of postage charges for a PVR.

Where in Glasgow are you ?
#9
How long do you give people to reply to a private message folks, is there any rules or etiquette to follow when selling something or do you just sell to whoever pays first? Grateful for any advice/comments, thanks :)
#10
Usually 24 hours.
#11
I'd say 24 hours was fair to wait for the first offer then go to the second one.

I will finalise the deal with you when I get home.

We need to do the deal in the thread. I pmd you before you had the item posted officially in the FS area. You need to answer my questions here for all to see I believe. Copy your pm and post it here?

Can't easily finalise the deal on the iPhone! Will later.

Cheers,

Matt.

Ok here is a copy of the Pm I sent you below.

Hi Baines, Noticed you repled first so I am PMing you first to be fair. My name is Carol btw. I've never sold anything on here or ebay although I have a score of 238 and 100% feedback on ebay from buyng. My username on ebay is silversurfer_91 I would definitely want full payment before I would post it. I realise that means you then need to trust me but I hope my ebay feedback reassures you there. I have no idea how much it would cost to post but I would expect the buyer to pay that. I've only ever posted a watch to my Mother so have no idea of charges for something like the Humax......do you?. I don't have the box for it but I just bought a Humax Freeview 9150T 2 weeks ago so I think it would fit in that box to protect it during transit. Get back to me if you still interested? Carol x
#15
Right. Well, I'll take it at £100 + delivery.

Please first PM me your personal details as per the forum rules. See them HERE.

For delivery I would use these guys - way cheaper than royal mail, and they pick it up from your house. Should be £5.85, as it's not very big or heavy.

How would you like payment? Paypal?

Lastly, a picture of the item with your username on a piece of paper with the date would be greatly appreciated please.

Thanks alot!

Ok, I have gone through around 20 boxes and i can't find the camera. A lot of stuff is still packed and I can't go through any more as I have a spine problem and it's too painful. My husband will be in later and he has a camera phone so I will try using that. I only have normal bathroom scales to weigh it with so hope they are accurate enough. I would like payment by bank tranfer please. Will give you the details if I can get a photo when he gets home. Also I have no idea how to put a photo on here from a phone so instructions would be welcome, thanks.
#17
No worries, whenever you can :)

I personally use Photobucket - make an account, it'll be handy in the future anyway if you stay on HUKD etc. - once logged in you should see how to upload a picture.

Once uploaded, copy, and post the link that says IMG. It should have [IMG] on one side of the link, and [ /IMG] on the end. If you post that, the picture itself will come straight up on the forum page :)

Have just looked at that parcel website and it says....

Scottish Shipments - 14th Dec
We will be stopping orders for Scottish shipments today as we do not anticipate being able to fulfil them in the near future.

Also My husband is still waiting on 2 parcels he needs at work which were ordered on the 4th December with City Link for next day delivery!! He has called numerous times and been told they are clearing the backlog as fast as they can.
#19
AAARRRRGGGG...Hubby just told me the camera is in his DVD drawer. Can't believe I spent hours going through those boxes and he had unpacked it ages ago!!!!!. oO

I need to charge the batteries to take the photo, will come back soon ok.

My OH was sent this in his email today Matt, from Citylink.

City Link

Collection of parcels for delivery into Scotland temporarily suspended
Thursday 16th December 2010
It has today become apparent that despite the sterling efforts of everyone involved, we can no longer guarantee that parcels sent to Scotland will be delivered before Christmas. The adverse weather conditions across most of the UK over the last couple of weeks together with the
exceptionally high seasonal volumes has led to us taking this extremely unusual decision. Therefore with effect from today our delivery service throughout Scotland is suspended until further notice. Please be assured that we are working to clear the backlog of parcels already in our network within Scotland.
#21
Well, I'll give you £10 for postage? Arranging a courier that is working in Scotland would be no more than £10 i'm sure :)
#23
Hope they work. Tried to make them Christmassy for you :p
#24
Trying to find a courier. Looking at Hermes just now, put in weight and size and they will do for £9.50. Are they a good company as my OH is only familiar with DHL and citylink which are the ones that you also sent to me. Can't think of any others??
#25
Fab, thanks! hehe, yup, christmassy!

Well, I don't know really, i've only ever used Parcel Monkey, who have only ever picked up using DHL for me... But yeah, they do use citylink.

Maybe ask for advice on here regarding couriers?

Once you've found one anyway, and we know it'll all be good even though the weather conditions in Scotland are bad, I can BT the money :)

Oh no, what will I do now then as Hermes seemed to be the next decent one. I will need to go call Hermes and ask if they are picking up in Glasgow. Will be back when I can find someone, this weather is terible as I have 4 parcels from Amazon that look like they are not going to be here for Xmas too!!
#28
Matt, I will need to send it by royal mail as Hermes not answering calls and other couriers not picking up here. I can send it this morning if you send me your address and payment before 12 noon. Otherwise it will be Monday of course. I will keep PC on until 11.30am this morning at which point I need to go out.

Awaiting your reply.
#29
Okay! Wouldn't have managed it, sorry, had to work today. Will BT money tomorrow.

Please PM me details and amount confirmation :)

Cheers,

Matt.
#30
I have pm you bank details Matt, don't know how much Royal Mail will be but if you pay £10 I will pick up the balance if it's more ok, so that is £110 all in. So, I will go box and package it up for you and will post first thing tomorrow morning ok. Can you please pay before 9am tomorrow morning as that is when I will be leaving, as OH has a hospital appointment and I need to be there with him. Cheers.

Will be back on later so let me know if you have any questions ok, Carol.

Is now boxed and ready to go. Just need your address to write on the front. It's been packaged up like the crown jewels with bubble wrap and brown tape so apologies if you have trouble getting into it lol :D
#32
Fab!

Just about to send payment, but I need the payee name, as it appears on the account :)

PM? :)
#33
Have pm you Matt, don't forget to send me your address ok?

If Baines93 is Banned, Is this still for sale then ?
#36
No, the OP is banned.

I've paid for the goods now, so i'd love to know why she was banned :S
#37
I don't know yet... apparently the item has been posted, so we'll see.

The account was created in error at fo.lk. Look you've been speaking to caz45 (the OP) and caz42 (the original id) in this thread.

You may take this up with caz42. However consider getting in touch directly with the seller, via phone (should you have followed the trading rules).
#39
Oh, well i'm worrying now!

I hadn't even noticed!

I do hope it's a simple error... I'm puzzled oO
#40
I'm guessing it was, since the account on Fo.lk selling the Humax now says Caz45? :|
