Hi,

Will increase offer to £105 delivered.

Not happy about handing over that amount of cash to someone with only 5 feedback on here tbh.
I can assure you that I am a well established trader on here & other members would vouch for me I'm sure. I might consider making a deposit payment of say £30 by paypal (where you pay the fees) would of course complete the sale by ppg or bank transfer upon receiving lappy & checking over, (no fees on remaining amount) I would also like to send you a message to verify your ebay account also, please can you enter your ebay id, i'll send you a password which when you receive it you can paste on here to confirm ownership of the account, unless there is a way that I can be assured that goods will be received as described.

Sorry to sound cautious but have experienced problems in the past from low fb members

Hey Andy, I'm aware that you want to be cautious thats fine, but im also not willing to send of this laptop without receiving payment first, its just not how it works. Im aware ive got low feedback but its all positive also my ebay user name is wt94941, im happy to verify my ebay account for you. But still I wont send of this without receiving payment first it works both ways i may not receive payment, though paypal also you can open a dispute if, (it wont) but if, you dont receive it, but if i send it off and dont receive payment i cant do anything...

Thanks for understanding.

hi, you are being silly not accepting burge74's offer as he has been here for a long time with a lot of positive feedback, he is unlikely to run off given his reputation. Nothing in it for me and i don't think i have dealt with him before, but you need to build your rep here.

True, i will give it a few more hours to see if i get anymore offers, if i dont i will take Burge74's offer.

Thanks, it just dusn't seem right sending it off without receiving payment, but it seems like rep on here is worth a lot. Which makes me feel safer.

Hi there,

Offer still stands of £50 upfront paid by paypal (which gives me some protection, but you incur a small fee) & £55 paid by paypal gift upon completion of transaction (I have no protection but goods aleady received & you receive no paypal fees on this amount). I do work long hours at work & maynot be on until 9pm tomorrow night but will pay upon receipt of your paypal details as soon as I log on. I'll send you my addy now for your records

it does seem like your trying to cause trouble, if you want this website to grow then you have to welcome new people, yes i may not have as much feedback as you but im trying, i know this is unfortunate at the moment but dont jump to conclusions please.

Alright cool, perhaps you could not jump to conclusions and think the worst of everyone and think that its the busiest time for royal mail at the moment and terrible weather causing delays to everything, so perhaps its just delayed.

not causing trouble, just that this time of the year a lot of problem deals happen, but not necessarily picking on you.

Firstly you meed to wait 15 working days before RM will even talk to you about a missing item - so that's 3 weeks - but more becuase of the holidays - so by my reckoning you can raise claim on 5th Jan - 4th Jan being the 15th working day after 13th Dec.

but bear two points in mind

If you sent it by recorded delivery then the claim will be limited to £40 abd secondly your buyer will have to fully co-operate with RM with all the forms they send and they shoudl be send by recorded dev etc etc because RM's favourite get out of jail card is that they did not receive the information requested by the person you sent it to. yes its true they nearly always pull this trick.

BTW what does theRM website say for the Rec Dev tracking number?

Excellent thank you for the information, and i left postage up to my dad when i was travelling back from university and he thinks royal mail actually do a good job and annoyingly sent it standard deliv. Could i go into where i posted it from and get them to sort it out as i know one of the people that work there she will make sure it gets sorted out without any hassle.

Hmm - did you get a proof of postage / receipt with the delivery address shown on it?

You will need some proof that you / your Dad did in fact post a package to teh said address - then teh cover is still £40 and the other points below still apply - the 15 working day rule still applies as well

Yes, i have a receipt for postage she has written the postcode of delivery on the back of the receipt. i have sent a picture of this to the buyer to relieve any worries about it not being posted.

Good - that seems to be PO new process - just writte the delicery postcode on the receipt

So all teh rules I posted before still apply - go to the PO on 5th Jan if not delivered by then but they may say you need to do the claim online / over the phone.

Good luck

FAO MODS.
The buyer has satisfied me that the item was sent but it appears that RM have lost / delayed this.
I have total confidence that this will be sorted without intervention required
