Am looking to build my grandson a PC for Xmas. I need a CPU as above, am not looking to pay more than £25 tops delivered. Has anyone got one lying about they want to sell?

I can pay by Paypal PPG providing feedback is OK. Would love to sort this in next couple of days.

Hope this advert is OK.

Have you considered the E2160, its socket 775 & its one of the best overclockable chips & cheaper then E6300 too, overclocked mine from 1.8GHZ to 3.00GHZ (could push 3.4GHZ), thats with no voltage changes (333x9)

6.4 windows 7 rating! result!

cheers for that Rich will have a look

EDIT - Rich what cooling did you have on that, I have a spare stock fan for cooling an E6300 I had, would that still overclock on that or have you got special fan cooler?

Dont bother with this for now as son just told me having issues with grandsons mum!
No worries, just so you know, you could use the stock as its same socket, but it might start to get quite hot, I use a artic cooling freezer pro 7, its only about £15, but you'd reach much higher OC speeds!

Hope that helps, soon as I saw which processer you wanted, knew it was for overclocking!

Yeah got that fan on my Quadcore at present, £11 offa the bay, bargain!! Just a shame the grandsons mum is being funny over what she wants for him. We prefer PC but she says he wants a PSP. never mind just one of those things.
Alot of people I know, got bored of their psp's quite quickly, just ended up in draw somewhere, a PC has alot more long term use, but what can you do eh!
