Model number is IDL 7000 and has an 80Gb Hard drive.

PVR is brand new, boxed and totally unused, comes complete with all accesories.

Costs £179.99 at Boots, so open to sensible offers around the £130 region.

For more details check it out on the boots website :

http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1065137&classificationid=1037821

It would cost £10 delivered with insurance or buyer welcome to arrange own courier if prefered or collect in person.

So they just changed it, I see that now, it was certainly £179.99 when I placed this for sale......maybe they read this!

So open to a lower offer obviously

Had your pm and am considering...but you'll need to post a pic if you are to get serious interest as some members are wary of buying items where there is no proof that they exist..the pic should include a piece of paper with your screename...thanks I

Do you have the receipt as if is unused and fails to work down the line how can you claim on the guarantee?
If you don`t you are asking a lot for a model that could fail after a week with no comeback
#16
Be comeback with it, it was bought brand new so comes with 1yrs warranty which obviously will be a fraction uder a year now but not by very much
#17
We all know it has a warranty but you have to prove where and when purchased.
Under the sale of goods act the retailer is responsible for the product. therefor you need a receipt to claim from the retailer ie Boots.
I ask as a intrested purchaser but I am not paying top money for a seconedhand item without receipt.

It's only second hand as in from me to whoever buys it and where did I say I never had the receipt? Of course I have a receipt the machine never fell from the back of a lorry!

They have my debit details on it right enough, if it was to go wrong within the specified time, whoever is to buy it would just send it back to me where I will go and return it and get it sorted out ,whether it be repair or refund.

No body is claiming it fell from the back of a lorry but you want a price near the actual selling price. People have to ask if you don`t want to reply don`t sell it on a bulletin board go to Flea bay.
Also for security only the last four digits of your card should be on the receipt

Yes should be last 4 digits but that is not the case and I notice that there are other stores still manage to show whole number.

Same as this chip and pin, forget where it was but I paid for something the other day and I just gave my signature.

Bear in mind when I placed the initial advert Boots were not offering the £60 discount.

Even with the discount, the price I am looking for still offers a saving.

I know people have to ask, maybe I am wrong but I thought the fact I bought this for my elderly parents brand new would indicate there is a valid 1yr warranty with it should there be any issues.
#22
I am getting confused......I am interested but can you confirm if you will provide the original receipt with the PVR or not

Well I could provide the receipt, but I would rather not due to my card details being on it.

However what I would do is hold onto the receipt and pass all my details should there be a problem of any sort.

In the unlikely event of there being a problem it would need to get sent back to my neck of the woods anyway as it was from a local shop.

Let me know if interested either way as I have had an offer slightly lower than wanted but might end up taking it if no other firm interest.

Thanks
#24
If its boxed, All brand new with the receipt, Have I missed the obvious or couldn't you just take it back to boots for a refund or vouchers?

Your right I only posted the boots link as it might offer people an idea of what the product was and give a guide price.

It was purchased from a local electrical store here in Aberdeen.

Think will end up giving it to charity it would save the grief!

I have never ripped anyone off in my life and I'm not about to start and if I was about to start I think it might be an idea to sell something of high value!

is it possible to , for example, record the video/sound of an xbox game on this device? ie can it record thru scart or just from tv/dvb signals?

I cant help you there, its all alien to me, perhaps one of the more techy minded people might be able to help.

I think all these PVR's can only record from their internal tuners, I have the Topfield myself and I cant record onto it from anything else thats connected up, ie dvd recorder...but can move the stuff on the Topfield to the DVDR
