Just got an upgrade so have this for sale. It was bought around May/June last year so is still in warranty, and comes boxes with all original accessories (including unused earphones), plus some silicon gel cases. It was fitted with a bestskinsever skin from day one so the screen is perfect, as is the back, but the sides are unprotected and there is a small scuff on one corner. It also has a small (~2mm) crack at the dock connector - as it is in warranty, an Apple store should swap this out for a refurbished one within ten minutes from my experience (have done this twice on different phones).

Why not take it back yourself and then sell a new 3GS?
#2
I could do but there's no Apple store in town so I'd have to make a trip of it to Cambridge, which is a bit difficult at present because my car's off the road! It is a known issue to Apple and the two that I've swapped have been done and dusted within ten minutes.

you can do this online on the apple website!

What sort of warranty would the refurbished unit have on it?
Is it confirmed as unlocked to all networks (by apple)

I believe it's a 90-day warranty for refurbs. It was originally on O2 but has been officially unlocked by them and shows up as such when first connected to iTunes (it's been used with a 3 sim with no issues for the past 8 months or so).

Forgot to mention that I also have the official Apple dock for it so that will be included in the sale.
#7
would they accept it and issue a refurb if i brought it into store though? (what documentation do you have that could assist the process)
#8
Would you take £200?
#9
I'm going to withdraw this from sale and get it swapped myself; I think that would be best.
