not keen to go below this as even before postage is taken into account this is signifcantly less than I paid for the microdrive alone ...

will get pic up ASAP

Hmmmm, not sure was only really interested in the micro drive as I cant seem to get the compact flash card to work with my mini, maybe it is the wrong sort (is only 1gb) but it is Kingston, do you have any experience in fixing them then?

I've done about 4 now - never tried to use anything other than a microdrive (although have used a 3GB one as had it spare)

I beleieve that the MINIs require a CF-ATA standard CF Card (essentially a small hard disk ATA interface) and not the Compact Flash interfaced common on older CF Cards. I'm not an expert though ...

Hmmm, well I will have a think on it then, depends on how long the new HDD is going to last though really, it could die like a day after I put it in couldnt it, always a risk you take with pre-owned HDD's.

absolutely - although there is an argument that says that refurbished items are more throughly tested than originals anyway - but yes theres always that risk.

Then again a new 4GB Hitatchi OEM microdrive retails for about £65.

This drive is known working and known 100% compatible with the Mini - thats all the warranty I can offer...
