bit overpriced dont you think? link here: http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/used-prices/Valuation.aspx?deriv=25769&plate=75 . private - £10,115!
#12
Original Price £22,977
Franchised Dealer £13,805
Independent Dealer £13,330
Private Good £12,615
Private Poor £10,115
Part Exchange £11,660

well £10,115 is for 'private poor'. that means the condition of the car? the pics sure show good condition, therefore £12,615:thumbsup:

Yeah seems a bit overpriced if you are asking more than the average Franchise Dealer price :)

Nice car though
#14
Why doesnt he just part ex it if he wants a brand new car, hell only get £400 less than he wanted :)

Dont talk to me about cars though, ill never buy private again after this disaster of a saxo i have, dealers all the way for me from now on!
#15
Every price listed there is £2000-£4000 below its value.
New it was over £25000 and I have a friend in the car business and all of the dealers use "Glasses guide" and in that with 29000 miles its booked at £12900 so considering the milage adjustments I think that £14000 is a fair price.
If you disagree feel free to carry on wrecking my attempt to sell it on here.
#16
Why dont you try ebay?

Its £6 to list, and £15 when it finishes - your more likely to sell it there, and for that £6 listing fee you can list whatever price you want :)

The £15 is only payable if it sells :)

#19

yeh,

with 8 watchers aswell!

You can get a brand new Mondeo high spec diesel for less...and as we know the Jag is a rebadged Mondeo with different style body panels.
You'll be hard pushed to sell at your asking price....but I wish you well with your sale.
#22
if you are really interested in a quick sale, i'll give you 8K. cash

£8k is taking the mickey just a bit...

http://snipurl.com/yixe - autotrader search of similar models for those wanting to see what the market is pricing it as...

Unfortunately the comment on the mondeo was partially correct, but Jaguar gets higher quality components and testing which is why their 2.2TDCI is faster with better mpg than the mondeo one and their top end 3litre V6 is faster etc. I reckon £14k isn't so unfair an asking price, but he is kind of asking to be haggled :)

Don't buy an MX-5, they are crap !!

Honest, I had one for 12 months & then sold it for a Seat Leon FR - great handling, poor performance !!!
#25
The older MX-5 was reviewed vs. the new one Fifth Gear and came out on top as very good/fun to drive etc, care to elaborate please since I'm curious...

And of course your Leon FR is great, it's a reasonably priced Golf GTI ;)

schizoboy - The way your going on, it's like your selling the car !

Why dont you just let the person who posted this thread reply.
#27
Don't get me wrong, it's not a "bad" car, but there are better cars out there for the money - not very economical for the engine size, not fast compared to other similar priced cars, roof starts leaking (£90 per door to reseal) etc.

It is like a Go-Kart though - handles very well !
