Title pretty much says it all, i have two £10 vouchers and one £5 voucher.

Individually will knock 10% off face value, buy them all and i'll take 20% off

So that's £9 each for the £10 and £4.50 for the £5

Or £20 for the lot

Anyone confirm you can still use vouchers at JJB, as heard they were maybe in danger of closing down too?

If so, genuinly interested and would like first refusal upon confirmation.

Saying this, as i don't want this to be confirmed, then someone nipped in before me, as thats my only concern about taking them.

Cheers.

If you were to take the vouchers I would not delay using them.

The stores have had "everything must be sold" signs in the windows for over a month.

Today, I saw one branch had changed their window to read "warehouse closing down sale".

Mind you, their share price is rising again, so perhaps they are in negotiations to be sold...

I received £50 worth, and have spent some in the last 2 weeks.

Infact, here is a receipt, from the 6th Jan, showing a gift voucher purchase.

EDIT: Imageshack is not working but i can e-mail you a copy if required

There is just nothing else that takes my fancy in there for me

This was my thinking, if they were stable, i would keep them for a few months, and buy something then, but in this climate anyone could go, out of the blue, like Zavvi.

If someone did buy these, and JJB went into administration before they had received them, then i would refund :)

Hi,

Thanks, appreciate replies all replies.

Would you take £18 for them, no refund option (if i can't use them), or swap for a Gamestation creidt notes for the value of £21.04? These don't have any immediate danger of not being useable, lol!

Can let me know,

Thanks.

Socks?

Everybody needs socks, doughnut they?

Oh... no... not everybody has shoes.

OK... perhaps not socks then.

But I found the same. I bought two pairs of trainers mid-December when I thought they were gong to go under any day, and they've stayed the same price on the shelves since.

The shoes were half the price I paid for a similar pair earlier this year, mind :)

I wouldn't mind buying a running machine, or a weights bench, but they don't seem to be any cheaper than usual.

Your other option is to buy, say, Manchester United kit, and sell it on a little cheaper than cost.

Good luck in any respect. [EDIT: "Rep" added about your comment on a refund].

I'm gonna stick at £20 i'm afraid, i still think that's a reasonable discount.

Not interested in the Gamestation voucher, i own PS1 and XBOX, and they no longer do those games :) Plus, i rarely use the consoles anyway

Ok, still offer of £20, & if for some reason don't get accepted, you would refund?

If so, we can take to PM.

Oh, and any chance you'd get them sent out tomorrow?

Cheers.

Within a reasonable amount of time, yes, i will post tomorrow, and you will get on Friday. I will guarantee them up until close of business next Friday, if you haven't spent them by then, then your on your own. Just to add, any refund would only be issued on the return of your vouchers, not that i'm saying you're dodgy or anything but i'm sure you understand.

I'll PM details over now

Hi,

No, thats absolutely fine, and i fully intend to use them before then anyway, so thats ok.

Understand your caution about wanting vouchers back too, and although hopefully won't be an issue, would deffo send back before expecting a refund.

Received PM, so reply now.

Thanks again.

Actually, re-looking at the current window signage this morning I can see that the "Warehouse" prefix is squeezed up to the top of the notice in such a small typeface so that it may be missed, so you may be fooled into reading...

CLOSING
DOWN
SALE

rather than

Warehouse
CLOSING
DOWN
SALE

They may not be in trouble at all.

It may just be that they are having to sell their stock before the supplier request it back.

Either way, best to be cautious.

BFN,

fp.
