I suggest a Nokia brick?

Buy a DOOGEE X5 MAX PRO for £59.67 delivered, it's both cheap and very cheerful + a glass screen protector.

Huge battery, dual SIM, MicroSD card slot, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, good screen, Android 6...

I have just set one up for a friend and was very impressed with its build quality and responsiveness. The only thing it lacks in my opinion is Gorilla/Dragontrail glass covering the screen, hence the screen protector being a must buy for it.

Will this work with 4G on three
#6
I think mi5s just round the corner that's why I didn't go for one plus 3
I would suggest moto or Voda for time being as they will have better resale value

I tried the DOOGEE X5 MAX PRO with my TPO SIM, which uses the Three network. Speedtest.net gave me around 21Mbit down and 7Mbit up with it.

It claims to have band 20/800mHz so should do.

I have a Homtom 5.5inch HT17 Pro at 54pounds,
sister unit to the 5.0inch Doogee X5 Max Pro.

I thought to mention that Ciarzo Butterfingers might consider
the toughened 4.7inch Homtom HT20 at approx 71pounds (according to kimovil).

I don't have one but its dropped in price slightly the last few days.
Its got kid bumpers on the edges if that reminds you of childhood.

I have a Honor 8 if your looking for something similar to the P9 but won't be cheap
#11
I have a HTC 626. Camera is a bit iffy but only looking for about £75

How about a dual-sim Honor 7 which if we are quick, you could have tomorrow as I will pay for RMSD Saturday delivery. £150 inclusive? It is boxed and in great condition.

Can get the X5 Pro for £52.99 delivered from the UK here.

I have a dual sim Nokia 130 handset and it didn't survive a drop to the floor & that's even with it being a rugged case! :-(

How did you find the bundled Android OS ROM on the handset - any gotchas to watch out for with regards to setting it up (i.e. malware/spyware??

It comes with a web browser that wants permission to do and access anything it feels like and will not start if you click no on any of its permission prompts. I just disabled it and then installed Chrome. I also replaced the SMS/calendar apps with the official Google ones.

There was some supposed malware that required me to root the device in order to get rid of it (both Malwarebytes and AVG found it, while ESET found nothing). AVG also said that the OTA Android updater utility contains malware, which could be a false positive or a sign that it was designed to push more than just Android updates to the device.

The ROM is reasonably lean other than that, certainly no ad banners or random pop-ups, but then Adaway was one of the first things that I installed after rooting the device.

Cheers for that - I have a mate that was looking for a cheap handset and this one sounds ideal, now that I know what to watch out for on it. Cheers
